They wouldn't drop Texas Tech out I don't think. I'm guessing they would put both in and drop ND out?
This year is crazy.

They both get in and Bama would be in a must win on secg.

Bama is the SEC’s dead man switch.
If you want college football to remain roughly the same as it is right now, you’ll cheer for a bama victory. A Georgia win means certain death for college football. A relatively unimportant matchup on paper in the grand scheme means probably just as much as the 1/9/12 game in terms of the impact it has on the CFB landscape.

I agree.
If the second place SEC team gets left out of the playoff, for losing the SECCCG, Sankey will burn shite down.

BYU win perhaps pushes tech to 7 and A&M to 6. BYU would take Miami/ND spot and then you'd hilariously get two teams playing each other 3 times in one season because why the hell not and this committee is retarded.

If Bama loses a close game.. gets left out. Sankey should call the committee and inform them that no SEC team will participate in the CFP.
Then call ESPN and see if they’d like to televise an SEC Tournament.
Top 8 teams, 5 games in 3 weeks.
I know this would never happen.. but doesn’t mean it shouldn’t.

Correct. The committee isn't going to risk the massive temper tantrum Bama would throw if they went back on their word about the losers of conference championship games not being penalized. SMU wasn't bounced last year. They won't bounce Bama this year.
Notre Dame is preferable to BYU even though BYU's resume indicates they should be in the #6-8 range. Thus BYU at #11 because if they were at #10 and lost, the committee would be breaking their word. But, if BYU gets in anyway, leaving out a 2-loss ND without any really great wins isn't the end of the world.
Realistically, the ND vs. Miami argument should be moot. The top 10 should be the two undefeated teams, the six 1-loss teams and then Oklahoma and Bama as the 2-loss teams with the best resume.
It would be a lot simpler if they weren't trying as hard as they can to get Notre Dame in.

Bama won the SEC regular season but gets left out of the playoff while three SEC teams that finished behind them do get in the playoffs.
Great system.

Bama is actually the SEC regular season champ. Should make the SECCG meaningless.

Don't lose to FSU. simple as that.

Texas Tech might get a home game, and BYU would not, but are in the playoffs.

BYU FREAKING SUCKS that's what upsets me about this. if bama was getting kicked out by teams where I sat back and said "damnit we should be in, but I don't know if we could beat them." SMU, Virginia, byus of the world I know we can beat.

If you believe all that, you can make a ton of money. Right now Bama is in regardless of the outcome. It would take a really really really really bad performance for them to fall out.

Yes, but BYU didn't lose to a dog shite team like FSU. Face it, BYU sucks, yes, but Alabama did it to themselves.

BYU will get beaten pretty good by Texas Tech. If they don’t, then Tech should probably be out altogether. Because that would give tech their second loss in a weak conference

FSU would be a top-tier Big12 program. That conference has absolutely nobody competitive other than Tech and BYU.

completely agree. so it's akin to Alabama losing to tech or BYU to start the season. Again, Bama fricked up.
