Is there anyone out there that’s fed up with the Soviet era inspired selection committee running college football? Thiink about it folks.

Cfp pays for these folks to fly into Dallas, stay at the finest hotel, eat 75 dollar steaks, drink the finest scotch and bourbon, and do what Mickey Mouse whispers in their ear.

Bama got f’d last year. Texas will this year along with Miami and Vandy.

G5 has no business being in the big boy playoffs. Have their own,

Take ACC, SEC, big 10, B12 and create playoff.

4 conference champs get byes.
12 at large teams

Eliminate selection committee

Use most respected computer algorithms ro make at large selections.

I want this. Anyone got a better idea? Let’s hear it!

Eventually OSU, ND, USC, and anyone who matters will join the SEC & the league will be renamed.

Everyone else will be absorbed into G5 or something like it.

Agree on G5 having their own deal. USF should not have to compete w OSU for a national title.

Should have challenge style interconference play and use records to determine how many playoff spots are allocated to each conference, then use conference standings to determine teams.

I have just one question for you. Were you in favor or against the playoff expansion?

Well, of course I’m only guessing.

Humor pal. It’s only a message board. You think they got guys and women coming in and they’re feeding them McDonald’s?

If there’s a way to check all my previous posts on this matter, you’ll see I want a NFL style system. Ain’t gonna happen.

It’s about the schools and Disney making more money right? I’m ok with making money.

I, like you want compelling games to watch on Saturdays. If all these people do is gouge themselves on shrimp and oysters every Saturday and just pick whose got the best record then why should Texas have scheduled OSU? Bama has OSU and ND scheduled home and home in a few years. What awesome games those will be. But the loser is putting himself in peril while some Big 12 or or team is playing Little Sisters of the Poor.

What you said, except only 8 teams. Conference champs then # 2 in each conference. We saw last year that 12 is too many.

I think I like this. Seems to keep out biases as far as I can tell. NFL seems to be one of the best operated / managed sports leagues in the world. I am no expert, though.

I don’t want #2 automatically in because look at this year’s ACC conference game.

Unfortunately in college ball until all four leagues merge into a 64 Team nfl style format, subjectivity will have to be in selecting at large teams

Just burn the current system

I remember being sold that selecting 12 teams would solve all our problems.

I really just wish they would cancel the CCGs and use the BCS to select the top 8 regardless of conference affiliation.

Play the first round on campus

8. Oklahoma @ 1. Ohio State
5. Ole Miss @ 4. Oregon

6. Texas Tech @ 3. Georgia
7. Texas A&M @ 2. Indiana

Then have the 4 winners play the 2014-2023 style CFP games at the larger neutral site venues.

If the mouse has anything to say about it, Texas and Manning will be in especially since the idea about canceling tOSU and Michigan is being floated around. Fox got the rights to Texas at Michigan and Texas at tOSU due to the location of the game. Texas gets those two at home over the next two years which means ESPN has the rights to those games. It is a multi million dollar decision to leave Texas out that hurts ESPN's pocketbooks. Once Texas starts canceling those, the other programs will follow their lead, which will again hurt ESPN and FOX.

This is exactly why UTrans does not belong in the SEC. They don't want to play by the established rules and want everybody else to play by their rules. Sark is coming off looking like a whiny little bitch.

I personally don't care if Sark cancels all of his OOC games. He is still holding on to the thought that UTrans is not in the CFP because they lost to tOSU. The reason UTrans is not in the playoffs is because of a couple of bad losses (UGA and Florida) and a couple of crappy wins that took overtime to beat one of the SEC bottom feeders. If you disregard the tOSU loss, it is doubtful that UTrans would make it in with losses to UGA and Florida.

Last time I checked, we don't play college football for the benefit of the networks.

If it really is a multimillion dollar decision then they should just automatically put UTrans, tOSU, ND, etc in the playoffs every year, regardless of their records or how shitty they are. This is a great example of the typical UTrans arrogance that we have been talking about every since they came begging to join the SEC.

Quite literally Texas is arguing that the committee rank the teams by the established rules, not just looking at their records.

So you are saying they should not consider your record. Exactly which one loss SEC team do you think should get bumped so that a 3 loss donghorn team can get in? Which 2 loss SEC team should get bumped so a three loss donghorn team can get in? Keep in mind that none of these teams lost to one of the SEC bottom feeders or had to take it to overtime to win.

Well we should start off with Oklahoma, who Texas beat at a neutral site 23-6.

While A&M didn't lose to a SEC bottom feeder they needed a miracle to beat SC, beat Arkansas by 3, beat Auburn by 6. So maybe then, since Texas spanked that arse.
