What’s pathetic is not beating a ranked team at home in 26 years. Ouch.

It doesn’t really seem like a believable stat. As long and storied of a history as Texas has, I just need to see proof

In their defense OU was ranked top 5 several times …. Neutral site game …. Nebraska , KSU and Colorado were in the north division which in early 2000s would have been the only ones inside top 5 and the south rarely played the north . Mid to late 2000s it was mainly OU and Texas who ran the south … Mizery was top 5 but again a north team with Tech having one to two good years in south . A@M was pretty much an average team by then . TCU some years was elite . Ooc games they scheduled dogshit most years . So part of the problem is just bad luck part poor ooc .

Sarge: "Hey, Texas University, yall haven't beaten a top 5 opponent at home in 26 years."

dildo waver: "We're a blue blood, dammit! Stop being mean! We're like Alabama, basically."

How many games is that? Not many top 5 teams in our previous shite conference lol. They did have some solid home and home OOC games though.

This thread piqued my interest, so I asked an AI application when the last time Texas A&M beat a top 5 opponent at home and this is what it told me
quote:

The Texas A&M Aggies last beat a top 5 opponent at home on November 26, 1999 defeating the No. 5 Texas Longhorns 20–16 at Kyle Field. Dat Nguyen led the Aggies with 14 tackles, while the defense forced a crucial fumble late to seal the win. This emotional victory came a week after the tragic Aggie Bonfire collapse, which killed 12 and drew a record crowd of 86,128.

So I guess it’s been 25 years since Aggie beat a top 5 opponent at home. Must be a Texas thing.

Hey Aggy, with your big honor code why do you have fake Nattys on your stadium ? Why is the last 12-0 season for you in 1990 ? Why are there more Aggie jokes than stars in the sky ?

They beat #4 Florida in 2020.

Although that team finished the season #13 and 8-4.

Oklahoma is the only consistent upper tier program they’ve played on a regular basis, and they play OU at the neutral site Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

They simply don’t host top 5 matchups. It’s not so much they’ve lost a bunch of games, but rather, they haven’t played many of those games at home during their Big XII years.
