...you don't wait until after a rival game to announce your intentions. You let your team know you're staying and you motivate them by being totally bought into them. He has the Ole Miss offer and rather than end the circus and let LSU and Florida move into another direction he just keeps it going???? That is a sure sign he is gone IMO. Kiffin has no loyalties that would lead me to believe he is staying. None of this makes sense... but then again... it's Kiffin. He should send Saban a nice check for reviving his coaching career. He won't last at LSU, but Florida could be the 'long haul' if he goes there.

Dude sucks as a human being. Flat out.

LSU will fire him in 4 years. The dude has collapsed every single time the spotlight has been on him at a major program.

Could be a troll. Or could just be him needing time to pack

Happens all the time in recruiting: player A has been committed to said school for a long period of time but begins to look around before signing day and announces his intentions to make an announcement on NSD. The fans from the schools player A has been in contact with get all excited about a possible flip only for player A to announce that he is signing with the original school. That doesn’t mean that Lane Kiffin isn’t leaving but the notion that he is simply because he hasn’t signed his extension yet and plans to announce his decision after the Egg Bowl is flawed logic. I don’t know why people do that but they do

Name one coach that stayed at Ole Miss, besides Vaught, that DID NOT go for greener pastures. LSU is greener pastures....He can win a NATTY more often at Louisiana State University. Pretty common sense...

Could say that about several other teams he left or was fired or are options this year besides just the clown circus LSU.

I hope not. I'm ready for him to already be gone.

FWIW, after flirting with Auburn in 2022, he announced his intentions to stay at OM on Tuesday of Egg Bowl week. The game was on Friday.

Most of them get fired. Since Vaught:
Billy Kinard 1971-73 fired
Ken Cooper 1974-77 fired
Steve Sloan 1978-82 left for Duke
Billy Brewer 1983-93 fired for cheating
Joe Lee Dunn 1994 fired
Tommy Tuberville 1995-98 left for Auburn
David Cutcliffe 1998-2004 fired
Ed Oregeron 2005-07 fired
Houston Nutt 2008-11 fired
Hugh Freeze 2012-2016 fired for hiring hookers
Matt Luke 2017-19 fired
Lane Kiffin 2020-?

Waiting on the kids to decide. I mean he basically owes it to Oxford for getting his life in order. I think he’s gone but it wouldn’t surprise me if he stayed and trolled LSU this whole time. The problem is it would reck his reputation and chances in the future if he did that.

Pretty sure he's gone at this point. He looked miserable at the presser.

His reputation, regardless, has taken a significant hit. All of the work he and Sexton spent put in over the years has been for naught. He leaves, and he's the guy that quit on a playoff team. He stays, and he's the guy that always put himself and ego before the team and created distractions. Lots of bridges being burned with how this is playing out.

Most of us have Kiffin Fatigue at this point.

I had this same thought a couple of days ago and kind of agree with you. But as you said, "It's Kiffin". He's a well known Egomaniac and narcissist. I think the longer he makes it about him just feeds into those two things.

If you saw his press conference yesterday, that guy has completely checked out. As an Ole Miss fan, I have no issue with him other than the way he handled it. Good luck to him
