Since both games are AWAY games ... probably not.

Drink is playing with HOUSE money.

Kiffin about to be off the board (LSU?) so Florida and Penn State are going to back up the BRINKS truck to bring in his recruiting and CEO skills.

Hopefully, the Curators have already made the appropriate calls to the next man up ...

Or try to help Drink take Mizzzou up to another NIL level since he's happy with his salary.

Or this ...

But Drink is going to play Pribula, if he thinks he is healthy enough.

Been there, done that with Cook 2023-2024 ...

Lol. That was classic gaslighting. If he goes to Penn State, he’s going to see a huge raise and he’ll also say how the salary increase had nothing to do with it.

Penn St job has been the opening I was most fearful. Initially I was hoping Drink and university would come to an understanding and Drink would dismiss rumors. I thought Drink was bought in considering support he has received.

I think Drink wants to emulate Kiffin in some respects and looks to how he’s handling this situation.

If Drink is going to slow play this, I’m happy to see him go. I would love to have continuity but don’t want to be held hostage each year by a coach that is still very suspect. Mizzou has options and can be a destination and successful with the right coach.

That ankle was reportedly sore after 20 reps against air. If Drink starts him Saturday he will get slaughtered.

How many times have we seen a QB with a high ankle sprain be successful after a few weeks? Pribula had a dislocated ankle. Drink better not be considering this and focus on Zollers.

It may very well be, but without knowing how the NCAA arrived at their methodology Mizzou isn't in the Top 25.

And we (allegedly) had no individual players in the Top 25 of NIL.

Not that it's the end-all, be-all, but I asked Grok where we ranked. Here's what was generated.

Maybe these numbers aren't an actual reflection of what's being spent, but if they are Drink has a point.

Via the Freedom of Information Act, the Columbia Missourian uncovered a treasure trove of documents related to Missouri's NIL program, giving perhaps the most unvarnished look at how college athletes were paid in the NIL era. Those documents were available because Missouri paid its athletes straight from the athletics department to the Tigers' collective -- Every True Tiger Brands, LLC -- and the newspaper got ahold of invoices ETT sent to the university. The headline figure was that Missouri spent $31.7 million on NIL within the past year -- the vast majority going to football -- but even that hardly tells the true story. In fact, Mizzou spent just shy of $25 million from January 2025 to June, including a whopping $10.279 million in June alone.

Mizzou spent over $20MM from the NIL collective on football last year. It is even more this year.

There is money that Mizzou put in the NIL and there is money that donors put in the NIL.

The money Drink has spent put together the 22nd best roster composite, which is 12th in the SEC.

More NIL wont matter until they get an OC that can call a game off script and coach a QB up.

It's hard to pin down Mizzou on NIL because of its unique structure. Mizzou keeps a pot of money like everyone else but also gets corporate surges for specific players i.e. Schnucks chip deal with Coleman. St Louis car dealerships also bought in. Not sure about KC participation. It's there, I just talk to St. Louis ppl more because im from UCity.

I might be a damn fool, but I think he's being honest in what he's said to date. He doesn't care about a pay increase for himself and wants more of Missouri to buy in to improve their chances to land top flight talent.

Eli Hoff's take on what Drinkwitz said.

It's behind a paywall and I trimmed my P-D sub a while back.

And the fact that Oregon has $900+ million in NIL (Phil Knight) ...

Has resulted in exactly the same number of National Championships: 0

Just look at Texas this year (#1 in NIL spending in 2025) ...

His statements are basically:

"The school I go to has to be the Dodgers of college football ... cause I can't coach/develop talent. It has to be bought ..."

Well, Drink, explain Curt Cignetti ...

Good riddance, bitch.
