Can't even enjoy your best season in forever because your coach is a Kardashian. If Drink were in Happy Valley today, Mizzou fans would be telling him to kick rocks, and we're not even in the CFP chase.

I agree with you. I know that this is a tough business, ruthless. But the fans have waited a long time for this. Don't like that they can't enjoy it.

It is what it is. Still have a chance to have a memorable season whether Lane coaches another game here or not.

I feel for them as well. No team's fans deserve this garbage.

Yeah this has to suck for OM.
Embarrassing and disrespectful.

I had a blast at the Florida game Saturday, just like I have at every Ole Miss home game. I am so appreciative of everything Lane has done for us. If he feels another school would be better for him and his family, I support that. We all must seek our own happiness. He has proven that Ole Miss is a great place for a coach and I know our Athletic Director Keith Carter is on top of things. None of this detracts my enjoying an amazing ride and I hope to attend a playoff game in Vaught.

Is what it is. For the first time since the 50s and 60s our AD, Chancellor and boosters are all on one page. It would suck to lose Lane but we are in a better position now than we have been in 60 years.

People that say we don’t have the money or resources to compete at an elite level are just stupid and not paying attention to the new era of college football

This shite will kill the game just as fast as the portal and NIL.

They hired Kiffin. That’s the risk you run.

I agree. Ole Miss deserves better.

These coaches are wives flirting with a man’s worst enemies.

Well if he goes I hope we hire Joey Mcguire from Texas Tech he only makes 4 million even with their billionaire booster..not saying he would leave Texas Tech but he's my choice of replacement I don't know why he hasn't been on Florida or LSU's radar

That's a very healthy way to look at it. I've never been much of a health nut though.

It's business. You can't blame a coach for taking care of himself.

Yes, we knew the risk when we hired him. He has done a great job for us but at this point in time, he needs to GTFO.
I could care less that he wants to be someone else but the way he has handled it is beyond unprofessional. He is a drama queen/attention whore.

The issue isn't necessarily that Kiffin may take the LSU job, it's that the transfer portal timing makes it impossible for Kiffin to coach the team in the playoffs while taking a job elsewhere. Point blank, Ole Miss can't allow him to be in the building with players he will be trying to convince to jump in the portal and leave while they're in a playoff run. It's unfortunate for Kiffin as well. He's done a fantastic job at Ole Miss, has built a playoff caliber program, and is on the cusp of the most successful season of his career. We allowed Kiffin to rehab his image on our dime, paid him handsomely while doing so, and gave him all the tools and resources to build a playoff caliber program.

It's why him leaving would be kind of bizarre. Ole Miss would have been in the 12 team playoff twice in Kiffin's tenure prior to it existing, was a game away last year, and is in it this year. That's 3 playoff appearances and a 4th season where you're in the convo late in 5 years. Ole Miss won't let it be a money issue. You're getting it done where you are. Just an interesting choice to let it go and start over elsewhere with what will likely be a brand new staff to get trained up. But Lane's a different dude.

He isn’t leaving that situation.

Matt Campbell is my number 1 target and then Sumrall if Kiffin does leave

It will not be Matt Campbell. Sumrall however is likely, and it's the reason he hasn't taken Auburn yet.
