Rooting for Texas against Texas A&M or not?

Definitely not proud to admit it and never thought I'd be at this point, but if it's not a revenge game against Alabama then I'd rather not play in the SECCG.
According to the Nerdometer 9000, it'd be Georgia/Alabama if Bama beats Auburn and Texas beats Texas A&M. If A&M wins, it's Texas vs. Alabama
https://bball.notnothing.net/sec.php?sport=fb
I don't think that there is a right or wrong answer, and a strong argument could be made one way or the other. Any Dawg fan who tries hard to convince us that one is definitely better than the other is just trying too hard.
Knocking Alabama out of the playoffs altogether would be some of the most satisfying shite ever. They'd be cooked at 9-3 becaues the loss to Florida State would weigh them down.
Also, winning the SEC championship in the first 2 years of the 16 team era would be legendary, and it might be a long time before any SEC team wins back-to-back SEC championships again. It also gaurantees that we would have a CFP bye, but then again it might be better to have a warm-up game in the first round of the CFP. But on the other hand, a warmup game in the first round would create the opportunity for injuries. Playing in the SECCG also would create the opportunity for injuries. So again, who the frick really knows.
Regardless, in a Georgia/Texas A&M SECCG, I'd rather that not happen and let it be Alabama/Texas A&M and take our chances with the 4 seed and a first-round bye or the 5th steed and a home playoff game at Sanford Stadium against some goofy team.
But again who the frick really knows.

Jefferson will be along soon to call me a giant pussy who watches my gf bang other dudes but I don’t want any part of it.
This is a bit of a beta attitude but I don’t care. They shouldn’t have worked to actively promote the destruction of our historical traditions and their importance via super aggressive conference expansion, the yeeting of divisions, and coming soon the complete nuking from space of some yearly historical rivalries

I think we get another shot at Bama in the playoffs anyway and if we get to ATL we might have to play them 3 times?
Nah
I really want an SECCG but if we don’t back door in I won’t be terribly disappointed.

Let bama and atm beat each other up and risk injury while we chill at home resting getting ready to host a playoff game in Athens against some scrub sacrificial lamb

I would be good with either scenario but the one above arguably puts us in the best strategic position entering the playoffs.

If A&M beats Alabama in the SECG, there's a pretty strong probability that we would get a bye anyway.
The only scenario I could see to prevent this is if Texas Tech plows through the rest of their schedule and makes a statement in their conference championship game while Georgia is sitting at the house, and there's some sentimiment that Texas Tech is really good and deserves a bye over Georgia for having to play an extra game. Could happen. Could not happen.

Not rooting for either but will be hoping aTm puts a whooping on the Shorthorns. If Texas lost every game I would be happy. They started wanting to rule the SEC before they even played a game here.

People on The Rant should be more grateful. The only reason wny the Texas fans over there weren't running their mouth all off-season is because of Georgia. Would've been brutal otherwise.

I would love a rematch with Alabama in the SECCG.
That would be amazing.
Go Horns.

Just because this is his reality doesn’t mean he has to project it on to others …

Fortunately everyone's opinion or who they cheer for does not have a damn thing with who wins the game.

I want us to win the SECCG again and the NCG again fortifying our place as the best team in college football having won 3 out of the last 5 NC's.

I disagree. The goal is a NC, not the SECC. Based on that, there's ample reason not to want to play in the SECCG if the opportunity presents itself. If we win the NC few if any will be lamenting we didn't play and win the SECC.

Of course you do. Misery loves company. You two aren't content unless you can denigrate others to satiate your egos. It leaves the rest of us wondering just how low of a self-esteem one has to have to have to live like that.

That's just your opinion. What's wrong with both?

This. Think about it like college basketball. No one cares who wins the conference tournaments. Final Four runs are remembered a hell of a lot more.

I expect the A&M pussies to dump against Texas. They tried to dump against South Carolina but Shane Beamer wouldn't relinquish his chance to be humiliated.
I don't care what A&M does. Two championships are better than one.
If ESPN is right we have a 66% chance of making the SECCG. The dawgs want to eat.

I thought Auburn had to beat Bama for us to get in? Isn't A&M in the SECCG with a win or loss? That would give them 1 loss overall. You said if A&M wins it's Tx vs Bama; but I think you mean A&M vs Bama.
