This Mizzou game has the elements of being an Iowa State type of trap game loss.
Missouri is nothing like their teams of the past.
They’re physical, run the football well, and they’re solid defensively while OUs offense continues to struggle.

Missouri had some good teams in the past. But I agree, backup QB or not, Missouri has a good team this year which must be taken seriously. No room for a Tuscaloosa hangover.

OTOH, after last year's loss coming the way it did I would think Venables will be all in to beat them.

Nah, it’s impossible for us to win in Norman.
OU will win 6-3.
OU will win 6-3.

Definitely not impossible, even as fans it’s hard to tell which OU team will show up.
They tend to struggle in games where they’re favored.

This is a very dangerous game for OU. They are likely riding high after that Bama win and it's going to be hard to get up for Mizzou. Mizzou's D is legit and they can run the hell out of the ball. OU also relies on getting turnovers and isn't a quick scoring team. I wouldn't put money on Mizzou but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they don't pull an upset here, they have nothing to lose. When A&M played Missouri the comments were all about the size and power of that DLine, they have some men playing for them.

Mizzou might beat the Sooners, but it won't be because they have the better D-line.

Misery won’t have home field advantage …. I bet they slow the game way down … turnovers will be the key to this game . I have zero faith OU will move the ball all game . I don’t understand what our offense is even trying to do anymore … hopefully we don’t run straight up the middle all game like we did vs Bama .

“I believe Missouri’s defense will keep the game competitive, but Oklahoma is likely to pull ahead in the fourth quarter.

but it won't be because they have the better D-line.

They are everyone's trap game.
Them and SC.
Them and SC.

OU will live in the backfield. One or two QB pant shiting frick ups will be insurmountable, OU bring the house all day.
