Those guys made the playoff. Kelly never sniffed it.

Average is normal at Texas. LSU it’s not. Expectations and reality are very different.

Then why did Tennessee and Texas make it and not LSU? Sounds like an LSU problem more than a Kelly problem.

What we can learn from this....don't start off with your best year and slowly descend.

LSU has “sniffed the playoff” just one time in their miserable existence.

Sark went 5-7 and 8-5 in his first 2 years at Texas, so this isn't all that surprising.

That said, Brian Kelly is the worst kind of coach, just good enough not to get fired. Unfortunately for the rest of us, A&M embarrassed LSU so badly that they did it anyway. Full credit to them.

Uh yeah he did. If Jayden doesn't go down in the sec championship and they win LSU is in the playoffs

It wasn’t BK who sank LSU, it was Nussmier. He was horrible. But it was BK who put him at QB so ultimately it was on him.

I think LSU overreacted.

In 1986 the University of Tennessee and the University of Texas agreed to share the well-known interlocking “UT” trademark that both schools use. Tennessee applied for registration of the trademark for the sale of jewelry, paper, metal and leather goods, as well as printed matter, housewares, glassware, and clothing. Texas owned registration of the trademark for educational and entertainment goods. Tennessee’s and Texas’s trademarks are different but similar enough to cause confusion to manufacturers, who have used them interchangeably in the past. The agreement gave Texas commercial rights to the trademark west of the Mississippi River and Tennessee the rights east of the Mississippi and in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana (home of LSU).

My understanding is that he's still the coach at LSU.
