Hopefully Kaufman-Renn is off tonight, he kilt us last year. RTR.

We need the conference to win some of these big games coming up to bump our SOS during SEC play. Bama is the only team that has come through so far beating St. Johns.
Florida lost to Arizona
Texas lost to Duke
Arkansas lost to Michigan State
Oklahoma lost to Gonzaga
A&M lost to Oklahoma St
State lost to Iowa St

Plenty more OOC chances but yeah so far we haven't handled our business very well.

quote:Yep, these games are especially crucial to teams that find themselves in the 9-14 range in-conference, because they effectively determine the conference's bid cap.

I'll have you know, Vanderbilt beat Big XII powerhouse UCF on the road.

Would have been a bad loss just like UF vs FSU last night.
I guess either of those teams could turn out to be legit, but probably not.

We played FSU in our exhibition and they are well coached and have some nice pieces. Will be interesting to see how they adjust once film is out there on Loucks stuff, but they look to be well coached and have good piece fits for what they want to do.

Purdue hit an unusually high percentage from the elbow area last year. That's a shot that Nate and company will give up because of the analytics. Stubbornly they will not come out of drop coverage when guys curl off of screens at the free throw line area. He's willing to live and die with the other team shooting 15-17 footers.

quote:I thought we played them pretty well last year. TKR kind of had his way around the rim, but if it weren't for some bonkers 3-point shots and one random freshman getting 9 points in the span of a minute, that would have been a comfortable road win.

Basketball gods owe us a few bounces in Coleman tonight.

As much as it pains me... Roll Tide.

I am not panicking, though I reserve the right to do so later on, because that was a freshman heavy team on the road and we lost a close one. That having been said... yeah we gotta start winning those.

Yeah we are playing like poop right now, but I have high hopes that Golden can have us playing better as the season goes along.

And Jaland Lowe hurt his shoulder again today in practice. I think we are cursed.

That’s what Michigan State did to us, they ran over the top back door plays with their bigs that we couldn’t stop. They have 3 good bigs in there at the same time.

Better check and make sure all the equipment is bolted down in the weight room.

We're staying out of foul trouble so far...
We're going to have to stay hot from downtown but, we have been getting in the lane a little better as of late in this game.

I wouldn’t worry about Florida, they get better and better as the season goes on and last year peaked at the right time. They gonna be fine
