We can root for our team and even if we lose, our future coach wins and solidifies his playoff appearance.
Trying to think back on a time when a team knowingly plays their future coach and nothing comes to mind, anyone got anything?

If Lane makes a deep playoff run he's not leaving. The portal timing and signing day makes it unfeasible to have any roster retention.

Doesn't have to be a deep run but it's irrelevant. Florida fans know he's not coming.

This kinda sounds like watching some dude frick his girlfriend and then bragging about how you're next even though she hasn't committed to anything with you at all.

If Lane took the Florida job, Ole Miss isn’t letting him waltz into the building like a tourist on a stadium tour. NIL, portal, agents whispering, roster decisions happening daily — this isn’t 2008.
And Ole Miss sure as hell isn’t letting Florida run a free 30-day national commercial starring Lane while we make a playoff run.

According to most of the SEC fans, regardless of your favorite team, Florida and its players suck donkey balls. Therefore, I’m fine with every player on the team leaving.

So you think Ole Miss wouldn't let him coach the playoff run? We will know whether he is leaving right after the Miss St game at the latest.
