I wonder if we dropped our series with them. I can't remember the years we were supposed to play though.

After the initial rankings I don't see the value in playing a tough OOC schedule. I'm biased of course, but having Texas ranked 4 spots behind Texas Tech was pretty crazy to me considering both have a loss on the road to an unranked opponent, and Texas' other loss was to tOSU in week 1 when Tech was playing Arkansas Pine Bluff. To me there just really isn't much incentive to play those games.

ND is an amazing road trip just don't get in front of the band when they are marching to the stadium that don't stop for anything or anyone. The stadium seats were wooden benches when I was there unless they have upgraded, it's been a few years.

Boston College and Navy weren't available this time, I guess.

So Notre Dame's weak arse scheduling is getting even weaker and they'll be guaranteed a spot in the playoffs

Thats fair but if you watched Tech play ASU, Tech got smoked most of the game.

That same ASU squad lost to Houston the following week. Had Texas played Tech's schedule you can make an argument that they'd be undefeated. You cannot make that argument about Tech playing Texas' schedule.

The real question is which of those teams will Deuce Knight be playing for in 2027?

The only real reason to schedule big time OOC is money. More eyeballs on the screens. Makes the tv execs happy and the fans too.

Makes it harder to talk shite about them if someone in the SEC happens to lose to them
