He can make more money in college football then in the NFL number one number two the NFL is a much more difficult job with a lot more pressure. Why would anyone wanna be an NFL coach unless they just couldn’t cut it at the collegiate level?

Dealing with NIL and the portal are absolute nightmares and being a college coach is a 24/7/365 job. I think there's definitely an improvement in QoL when you're an NFL coach.

He failed at the collegiate level and is now one of the most sought-after coaches in NCAA.
He failed in Oakland. Maybe he wants another shot at the NFL. Remember his dad was an NFL coaching legend.

I’ve heard that Lane wouldn’t coach college football the rest of his career and he’d be interested in returning to the NFL. I heard that some years ago.
