Other schools in the conference already do this. Makes sense to me. I say that as someone who would have been affected by this as the only time I bought student tickets, I bought them for an acquaintance that had recently graduated so they could attend with friends.

Good. Past time to reward the students who show up and stay

Good. Little shits should come to the game if they actually have a ticket. Not sit in the grove and try to hook up with a girl who isn’t interested in them

Who are we even admitting these days? If you can’t hook up with a girl in the stadium…. fricking amateurs

Excellent policy. I’m very much in favor.

I'm going to the game this weekend and sitting in the student section since they never show up.

I remember going to games in Houston Nutt’s final season when we were getting blown out by 50 points every sec game. Can’t believe these kids don’t show up for a consistent top 10 team.

We were also in the SEZ. The NEZ sucks so bad.

When we were in the SEZ, it was a tiny portion of what the students have now. And before that, we were in the North East corner next to the current endzone section. We didn't complain and our section was usually full and standing quite a bit before the kickoff. What exactly sucks about their current setup?

Full sun and metal bleachers. We had shade in the SEZ.

Those were the days. It was full to overflowing every single game in the mid to late 1990’s. Regardless of how bad we sucked, we went.
As freshmen pledges we had to get there early to hold seats, and try to get on the front row because we would take the liquor from the cheerleaders who snuck it in for the actives in their cheerleading duffels.
CSB. Get off my lawn. Thanks, gramps.

At least it sets a very fair and up front expectation
If you don’t plan to ever stay or know you sell your tickets, you’re less likely to put in for them perhaps

We didn't in the Northeast corner. They can deal with it.

Still think we should rearrange the stadium where the visitors have to sit in the NEZ like they used to when we had the high school bleachers. Every other SEC except like Tennessee puts the visitors in the worst seats. Never understand why we don’t.

This was ideal when I was there because the student section was put on the east side corner by the NEZ visitors. The gap between the two sections was filled with a hail of airplane bottles going back and forth.
