Hungry up-and-comer who won't require a massive guaranteed contract.

Louisiana is a different place than any other state. Living there and having 3 generations of family members born and raised in Louisiana I know this. Hiring someone who can adjust to the culture or is already familiar with it will be important. Coach O was a great fit, but obviously couldn’t handle the professionalism of being the head coach.

Reasonable, imo, would probably be about any coach in college football.

Unreasonable would be to expect a successful NFL coach. Expecting Saban to come back to the mess that is now college football is also unreasonable imo, especially considering his age.

eta that Kirby Smart is another good example of unreasonable.

Feels like Sumrall at LSU & Lane in Gainesville would be natural fits.

I dont know about reasonable, but I sure hope we make Oregon spend some more nike money to keep Dan Lanning.

I think Jon Sumrall from Tulane would be more reasonable and affordable. Ill have to check back in after looking some more.

Napier couldn't hack it in the swamp but he did pretty well when he was at U of L. He understands the state and how to recruit it.

Bayou Billy... Bring him home.
