Hoping the Aggies can hang on to him for another year, but he's a rising star.

I think y’all will hang onto him for 1 more year, but if he does leave this year I think it would have to be for a job like UCLA. I don’t think he’ll want to go outside of P4.

Any chance he goes home as K-State HC?

If that’s the best he can do right now he should stay at A&M. SMU might open up in the upcoming carousel. That would be a job worth taking.

I doubt we get him another season. I think he will be a head coach somewhere else next year.

Could happen, but Chris Klieman isn't going anywhere this year, and Klein should wait for a decent job rather than taking the first one available. I think A&M is safe.

He interviewed with Arkansas right after Pittman was fired.
Whether it was a serious interview or just a courtesy by the AD is another story, but he's certainly throwing his name out there for jobs

I’m hoping he follows the Kirby Smart plan and stays put until an elite job opens up. (But that’s probably a pipe dream on my part.)

Pipe dream maybe, but it’s clearly the smart thing to do. Venebles is another one who did that. He was up for a HC job for years when he was at Clemson and wisely waited for a 900# gorilla to come knocking. If he bails at the first offer he runs the risk of turning out like Kingsbury did. It’s genuinely not just the homer in me wanting him to stay…because he will go eventually. They all will. But he could become an elite head coach if he stayed and made his current program elite for a few years at offensive coordinator.

He is probably gone, too many schools are looking for coaches

He’s a cerebral, intelligent guy. Might not be a huge program but I think he’ll wait for the right situation where he won’t be setup to fail like Arkansas, Kentucky etc.
