If Bama loses to Okla. and a possible championship game, do they deserve a playoff spot?

Assuming they make the championship.
I think they make the playoffs with two losses, and not going to the championship game.
Does a three loss team get in to the playoffs with possibly the toughest schedule in the country?

They would be a bubble team in that scenario

I doubt they get punished for losing the championship game. I think a more realistic scenario is if they lose that last game against Auburn and get left out.

Maybe still in the playoffs, even if they lose to a 7-4 Auburn team (realistic with that schedule) and finish with two losses?
That means they can’t lose to LSU or Oklahoma.
They have to go 2 for 3.

Depending on what happens ….if there are a bunch of two loss teams vying for a few spots. That would leave them with two atrocious losses.

We'd have head to head wins vs some of those others.

Two bad losses sandwiched between a shite load of great wins. That would be crazy.

They’re not losing to OU. I can promise you that.

Yeah alot would have to happen. 70+% chance they still get in with that loss. But they won’t be punished for losing SEC champ game

Bama isn’t losing to OU. The Sooners are a decent team, but this schedule is going to kill them.

Would need to make it into and win the SEC title game in this scenario.
Really getting ahead of ourselves though. If Bama plays like they did yesterday, this team could realistically lose 3 more games.

Bama should be well rested after the bye week. The stretch of ranked teams they just played was historically brutal.

Alabama is going to punish Oklahoma ….

I think I recall the committee saying they won’t punish teams for conference championship losses and proved it by allowing SMU in.

They said last year conference championship game losses don’t hurt teams. Yes, they’d get in.

If we’re playing hypotheticals, the better question is if we lose 2/3 down the stretch, is our resume at 9-3 good enough to hold off some 10-2 teams?
They’ve already said championship game losers won’t be punished and proved it with SMU.

Hypothetical BS....worry about it when it happens. In the meanwhile, lets all laugh at UAB and auburn for sucking azz.

Any team in the SECCG is getting in. The committee won't punish teams for losing that. The only way a team gets dropped is if a team takes a spot from them by winning their conference game.
