Money is probably equal

Opportunity to win is probably equal

Expectation are probably more realistic at Florida

Leisure life in Florida is a huge advantage

Safety of your family in Florida is better

Florida really does seem to have the edge

Is money really equal? I keep hearing LSU is broke but I haven’t really looked into it.

Florida isn't willing to embezzle money through a children's hospital, advantage LSU

I guess I assumed Napier’s buyout was compatible to Kelly’s but I was way off.

It's not about how much money you have, it's about how much you are willing to spend.

LSU paid a shite ton more for BK than Florida did for Napier. Florida isn't sitting around feeling like they are stuck with a coach, but you can't really say it's even money when LSU is spending much more.

You make a good point on the willingness to spend aspect.

Assuming money is equal……which nobody really knows at the moment…..

LSU is best

BUT…..

If the next (final) round of conference realignment happens and either Miami or FSU fail to secure a seat at the table in the B1G or SEC, then Florida > LSU

LSU stealing our AD ended up being the best thing to happen to Aggies in the 21st century

LSU.

More recent history of success, and you pretty much get the state of Louisiana to yourself, while Florida has to compete with Miami and Florida State.

Gainesville is better than Baton Rouge though.

My feeling is that LSU has a moderately higher floor by owning the state, But, that is largely compensated by having higher expectations at the moment. Florida has a slightly higher ceiling by being able to tap into Miami, Atlanta and everything in between pretty easily.

It’s all close enough that it doesn’t really matter. A good coach will do well at either.

Florida. It's a blue blood job in the most talent rich state in the country. When at the top of college football, no one is at the center of the public conscience than the Florida Gators.
