This might be the worst take I've seen on this site in a looooong time. And ive seen some pretty bad ones.

They're at best the 7th best job in the SEC
Behind Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and Georgia.
Heck Id argue Tennessee is better.

it finna be so hilarious when texas goes 8-4 after making fun of a&m for years for going 8-4
The Longhorn brand is massive and like it or not the CFP is a business...they want to make money. In this scenario, who would get in over Texas?

But there is a legitimate chance that 6 SEC teams make the College Football Playoff.
All that has to happen is for the ACC and Big 12 to remain one-bid leagues, for Notre Dame to lose to Pitt, and for the Big 10 to only get Oregon, Ohio State, and Indiana into the playoffs.
Alabama, Georgia, A&M, and Ole Miss are virtual locks.
Oklahoma and Texas can each afford only one more loss, assuming the scenario I laid out above holds. I think Vandy and Mizzou need to win out, given that they don't have the brand names that OU and Texas do. Unfortunate, but alas. They can still get in even if that doesn't happen, as long as they win out.

He was pretty good for y'all, pretty much shut down Kyler Murray and OU which no one else could do.
Florida. It's a blue blood job in the most talent rich state in the country. When at the top of college football, no one is at the center of the public conscience than the Florida Gators.
Unacceptable. This is why Catholics need to find a Bible believing church that preaches the Gospel.
This is as disrespectful as it comes.

You're technically correct -- the RCC itself was not founded in 1054. However, when it gained its independence from the Eastern Orthodox (and vice versa), it was allowed to create its own dogma. This marked the beginning of what we would today call the Roman Catholic Church.

I think it's pretty clear and obvious at this point that this pope is going to be Francis 2.0. But that is okay, as he is just one man and one bishop.
His church is not the one that God founded on Pentecost in 33 AD. The Roman Catholic church (RCC) was founded in 1054 AD following the breakup of the Chalcedonian communion. The RCC teaches that Jesus is physically present in Communion, which is patently false. In John 6:53, Jesus is speaking metaphorically, not literally. The Disciples weren't literally consuming His flesh, but rather it was an emblem of their love for God.
More importantly, since its schism, the RCC has adopted many false doctrines and dogmas. These include the various Marian dogmas that cross the line from "veneration" into idolatry. Embellished statues of Mary can be found across pilgrimages hosted by the RCC. While Mary was very important and should be honored, the RCC is wobbling on this metaphorical tightrope and tumbling down into sin. It's no wonder why lots of young people my age convert to Catholicism for purely material reasons, such as its admittedly beautiful churches or its rich tradition.
But neither the tradition of man nor his works can save us. Paul wrote in Ephesians that we are saved by grace through faith alone. Meaning, we should find a church that teaches the Word to its fullest truth and in context.
I pray for the repentance of Rome and its communion with the Christian faith.

If you think this is 2018 redux, you're in for a surprise.

That is just not true. According to three of the most accurate pollsters of the 2024 election, Trump has a neutral to slightly positive approval rating

Usually during shutdowns the party in power is blamed. Trump is making an extremely smart decision here reminding the public that it is the DEMOCRATS and SCHUMER responsible for the SCHUMER SHUTDOWN. In 2018 Trump did not use his influence enough to focus attention on the fact that it was the DEMOCRATS that shut down the government. Seeing Trump learn from his past mistakes is not only great for MAGA, but for the whole country!

re: Jimmy Kimmel Returning to Sinclair Stations as Preemption Ends
Posted by crazie04 on 9/26/25 at 3:18 pm to Gdellinger
hate to say it, but here is what probably happened. Sinclair can only preempt Disney for so long as per their contract. Basically, when these companies sign on to broadcast Disney property, they have a limited amount of times they can choose not to air Kimmel.
This cuts both ways, too. Disney can choose not to air certain programs on Sinclair-owned affiliates. For example, it's highly likely that Disney told Sinclair that they would not allow Sinclair to air ABC nationally televised football games. Since live sports make up most of the revenue for these TV stations, it is a powerful leverage chip.
I hate that Disney did this, as it makes Sinclair and Nextstar look like they caved, but in reality they had no other choice.

I like Baylor's OC, Nick Spavital. Comes from the Dana Holgorsen tree, so you know he'll put up points.
