We have fun trolling everyone here, but what are their real options?

Plan A (Notre Dame) has already turned them down. One does not leave ND for a SEC school now, you can thank BK for that.

Plan B (Ole Miss) is not going to happen. Ole Miss has become used to this part of our football seasons, where Kiffin is the next coach [insert school here]. He was going to Auburn, he was going to Alabama, etc. Kiffin knows Ole Miss is one of the few schools he can have buildings, roads and fields named after him. Legacy > money.

Plan C is their first real candidate, who will it be? Florida boosters are not going to allow another Group 5 coach to come in. Will they take a stab from the NFL ranks, poach a HC from Power 4, get a top DC or OC from pro or college.

There is also plan B.2 out there with getting Drink from Mizzou, similar to Ole Miss is not going to happen. The UM schools are proving you do not need the location of Florida to get recruits in the portal/NIL era.

As a SC fan I have to say this, if Florida can't get a Top Flight Coach how would SC ever land one...

I highly doubt anything is at the offer stage of negotiations. All that happened with Freeman likely is they made an inquiry if he’s open to the idea of moving. He said no, so they strike him from the list and move on.

That is something Kiffin could easily do, but hasn’t.

1. Well documented that his daughter kept him from Auburn, not OM or the fans ect
2. Bama never offered him the job. He'd crawl over broken glass to coach Bama.
3. CFB is filled with coaches who were "comfortable" and still hauled arse when money talked. Lane isnt any different.

Is there a reason Clark Lea isn't getting a bunch of play?

That is exactly what everyone has been asking. Where are all these super coaches or "the next Saban" coming from? Too many openings and too few proven coaches out there that are willing to move.

There may be one out there willing to move but to fill all these vacancies? Where are they coming from?

We may see a $15M per year coach (which is ridiculously stupid).

It blows my mind that schools continue to fire coaches without having any kind of plan in place to replace them.
