What do you think he does. It's been 5 days and not a word.

Sounds like he led the scrimmage yesterday.

Probably trying to figure out how good his team is.

He's going to go to the MLB. He's likely hammering out the details of the contract and his only leverage is staying at Tennessee. It's a disservice to UT though, there's a season coming up and they will have to expedite a coaching search.

He won't get this shot again. If he tells the MLB "no" he will be blacklisted.

the longer it goes, the more i tend to think he'll stay at Tennessee.

Word is our f@gg0t AD pissed Tony off by investing in stupid girls basketball instead of what matters. I’m hoping we get rid of that bastard and keep Tony.

Yeah, Ole Miss lost $7.4 million on girls' basketball last season alone. That's a staggering figure. I'm all for having girls' sports but that's an amazing loss of investment.

I would assume Tennessee would just promote Elander.

You're a fricking moron.

Danny White is the best AD in the country.

That was the initial version I heard, but then I saw another report clarifying that TV got word that DVH got allocated the women's basketball portion of NIL at Arkansas for his baseball program. TV went to Danny and told him he wanted something similar. Danny didn't budge because of Tenn's history of WBB. So... TV went shopping around. Seems to me like a power play between the two now. If Danny blinks, TV gets some lady vol money and stays, or if TV blinks... hello Giants.

Jake Peavey said on local radio this morning that it is his if he wants it.

Dumbest take I've heard yet from a Vawl fan, and there have been plenty of contenders.

He should take it. Both outcomes are fine.

If he's a success in the Big Leagues, his story writes itself.

If he's a failure, he'll have a $3MM job waiting for him at an SEC school when he gets fired.

dragging it out like this means probably staying
if he wants his MLB shot though, he better take it

if it doesn't work out, he will be on everyone's short list if he wants to return to college one day - Van Horn gonna retire one day

It's not called coaching in the Show. That's a college term.

So who does utk hire to replace him?

You almost have to elevate someone already in the program at this point.
