Has Kiffin ever left a job in better shape than it was before he got there?

USC? Tennessee? FAU? Theresa few others in there certainly. The guy is a damn good head ball coach, but he sort of goes scorched earth on a job when he takes off

Yeah, I would say he left all 3 better off. Tennessee destroyed Tennessee afterwards.

He brought in a lot of talent, and there was excitement...it wasn't his being there that ruined Tennessee...it was his abrupt departure and the horrible way the AD managed it all afterwards that wrecked the program.

FAU was 9-27 in the 3 years prior to Kiffin, 15-18 the 3 years after. This included a winning season immediately after Kiffin left. I'd say they were better off

Crompton's turnaround was nothing short of miraculous.

Prior to the '09 season, he was referred to as "InCrompotent".
The joke before that season was..."If you want to stage a coup, you need Jonathan Crompton in charge, because there isn't anyone he can't overthrow."

Southern Cal was hit with NCAA sanctions before he coached his first game, and had 10, 11, and 10 win seasons after he was fired. The 30 scholarships Southern Cal lost were the most a program received since SMU.

he's arse. Totally didn't bring Alabama's offense into the modern time of football either.

Turned a converted RB into a QB who set the single-season passing yards record and the single-game total offense record at Alabama.

Tenn? Yes if the signs of improvement weren’t there why would usc call? USC no, which is why he was fired.

That’s ignorant. When he left UT he destroyed the recruiting class, telling kids to not show up. His nonsense had the NCAA investigating the school and got Bruce Pearl fired. His antics and that of his staff set Tennessee back years in multiple sports.
Now, he has matured since then and I can say the G5 school he was at benefited from both him and the way he left. But the Raiders, UT, and USC? They paid the price of his being there and leaving.

But the Raiders,
You don't think drafting Jamarcus Russell as qb, whom Lane didn't want, had anything to do with that?

I’m sure it did. The discussion is about him and how he left. His lawsuit, the way he left, the timing had been his issue. But he has matured since then I’m sure.
In the NIL and free agency, I’m sure he will not poach the top of Ole Miss’s roster at all.

Did he though?
He was the OC for 1 National Championship. And that was in 2015 running the shite out of Henry with Jake Coker at QB.
And he wanted Cooper Bateman, and he was the reason Bateman started against Ole Miss that year in a loss.
He did a good job in 2014 with Blake Sims, but I wouldn't say that was bringing us into "modern" era.
I guess that leaves 2016 with Hurts. He did pretty good that year, except once he got hired for another job he turned into absolute dogshit to the point of getting fired because he's a selfish guy who only cared his career.
It was Daboll who won a NC with Hurts and Tua in 2017. I liked Daboll much better.
I think the biggest thing is he was a great offensive recruiter. He definitely stacked Alabama well in the QB and WR departments.
So how did he bring Alabama's offense into the modern time of football? Personally, I like the current Alabama offensive philosophy about 100 times better. I fricking hate relying on explosive plays.

Saban at every school he coached at.

How are you this ignorant?
Pre-Kiffin, Alabama was three yards and a cloud of dust.
Once Kiffin arrived you learned to incorporate the forward pass.
This isn’t rocket science.
