Did Sarkisian somehow forget everything he's ever known about offense? Good lord.

Am I just blind or is LSU nowhere to be found on that chart?
Makes sense.

Part of it is the defense is not good
That it help exposes their offense
That it help exposes their offense

I was told Sark is an offensive guru. Fake news.

We struggled last year in the red zone with a veteran OL, veteran QB and really good WRs.
I'd argue he's never been good at offense outside of calling plays on Saban's team in Saban's culture.
I think he's the biggest offensive "genius" fraud in CFB history personally.

I don’t see them either. Which tracks.

LSU is right above Purdue.

We all loved him, but you might be right. It's a lot easier to scheme things up when you've got NFL talent at QB and RB, the entire OL, and a Heisman-winning WR (with a couple of other NFL receivers).

It also helps to coach in a culture created by the goat

Just think about how good Arkansas could be with even a sun belt level defense

Tennessee above a&m? Hmm

For those that want to argue with me about how big a fraud sark is as a proclaimed "offensive guru"
Here are the final team offense stats for every year he has been head coach in cfb
2009 Washington - 70
2010 Washington - 96
2011 Washington - 25
2012 Washington - 90
2013 USC - 61
2014 USC - 25
2021- Texas - 18
2022 - Texas - 25
2023 - Texas - 15
2024 - Texas - 29
2025 (so far) - 81
I think the bigger question is, how the hell did he ever earn the title "offensive guru"? If that simply a media creation?

2019 and 2020 Alabama. Not sure of rankings but both years the offenses averaged over 500 yards and nearly 50 points per game.
I mean, those two years are how he got the Texas job.

Agreed but didn’t understand it then and still don’t understand it. I mean how many coordinators failed under the goat? That was saban’a team. He was just along for the ride, but boy did he cash in because of it and now we are paying for it.

Sark is a magician when he has great tools at his disposal. He's creative, balanced, etc. I know the easy response is "everyone is like that", but there are a lot of coordinators who still have elite skill guys and OL and get bogged down vs elite defenses and coaches. Sark did not. He schemed those guys into space and let them do insane stuff relatively free and clear. He was very very good.
But he runs a relatively old school offense in terms of philosophy and core tenants, so when the OL isn't great and his QB isn't accurate it can really, really get bogged down. He doesn't run an offense that is built to play up less talented players, he runs an offense that is meant to hum at an unstoppable level with elite players. So it can be incredible when all the pieces fit, but it doesn't have a lot of options to "trick" defenses when the personnel at the key spots aren't working.

You aren't wrong, but those two years offensively stand out among the entire Saban years.
