I guess it's possible, but I really think that FSU game gave these guys a big piece of humble pie and they have been playing with purpose and not taking anything for granted.
So, my answer to my own question is yes.
Maybe.

I think the team panicked a bit and the plan wasn’t very good on offense after initial script.

Florida State is awful, so I think Bama may have needed that loss psychologically for whatever reason.

DeBoer has done well getting the team up for ranked opponents for the second year in a row. It sounds weird to say, but next week will be a big litmus test for DeBoer. He is 1-4 so far when playing away from home against unranked teams.

No idea how we lost to FSU...they are absolutely horrible...but things happen for a reason.

Same. If there were still questions about leadership within the team, they were answered in the form of response to an embarrassing loss. And if you are going to have an embarrassing loss, week one is the best spot to place it. I’m also of the opinion that if this team finishes the regular season with one loss, it would be my second favorite regular season Alabama team behind 2016. Top 10:

2016
2025*
2009
2011
1992
2017
2012
2008
2015
2018

*obviously pending an 11-1 season.

I feel like this list captures the confidence level I had in most of these teams after they completed their regular seasons, and where 2025 Bama would rank amongst those teams if they continued to win games in a similar fashion.

I think the coaching staff needed that loss even more than the players.

Probably not, we would have lost vs one of Georgia, Vandy, Missouri,or Tennessee. The loss was good for the team as a wake up call. I do think that if you swap out the location of the FSU and Wisconsin games we beat FSU easily

FSU was a bad matchup and the defense can be scored upon. If you don't force the other team to punt it's hard to win.

Luckily our offense keeps out executing the pivotal moments compared to our opponents

True. Because we beat everyone else. Duh

Jk, I think we needed it, but if we would have beat them then maybe another team would have been our wake up call. But the team knowing nobody is a guaranteed dub makes them more dangerous vs what a UGA loss would have meant. FSU falling apart might actually be good for us mentally down the stretch

I used to tell our team all the time when we played a game like that, we needed to lose. Because we need to learn from the things that we're not doing to create the habits we need to have to play winning football on a consistent basis - Coach Saban

False.

If we had won FSU game, we would be seeing podcasts, players loose in practice, just relax and taking winning for granted. I think we lose Georgia game had we beat FSU.

imho, i think ckd himself needed to go thru the firestorm that followed. he needed to clearly understand, in a personal way, that being the hc at bama is way different from washington or any other place he'd been. yes it focused the players and asst coaches. but i do believe it changed ckd's approach

I would say false. The loss seemed to cause reflection and refocus and it also seemed to light a fire under DeBoer.

Always better to lose early in the season than later. Heck, if we hadn’t lost to OU late last season we might could’ve sneaked into the playoffs.

Sounds like we need to rack it up with ranked opps going forward Lol. Keep the two TD dogs away from us and we’re golden.

FSU lost to Stanford with all backups. I get they did things we don’t traditionally handle well. But I’m starting to wonder even on a bad day how we just didn’t overwhelm them with talent

False. That game was needed, and losing on embarrassing effort was needed. It's not like we played our tails off and lost a close one, it got highlighted for 6 days following how the players didn't play hard. Negative reinforcement is a big time motivator. It's the social media age. If you want to drag arse, it's going to be accompanied by a video getting memed on twitter and shared 50k times. That is as motivating as money. They got absolutely shredded online, and it looks like it worked.

We have a mentally tough football team, and you can tell that by how they perform on key downs since the FSU game. I feel like every time since then when we've had a "this play is very important to the outcome of the game" it's gone in our favor. Every time. That's mental toughness
