Bear Bryant - Nick Saban - Kalen Deboer.

It’s already crazy enough to have the 2 best coaches in the history of the sport, but what if we end up having the 3 best!!

I can't decide if he's Curry or Shula.

You're sipping the kool-aid now.

Slow down and lets win the SEC first.

After the FSU loss I thought he was a dead man walking, but he has more than proved me wrong. The man can coach.

I don't think any GOAT would get worked by a middling FSU team like he did

Trolling aside, his record vs ranked teams as well as top 10 teams is otherworldly, the best in the country I believe.

I can't understand why he's lost to so many unranked teams throughout his career.

I ran the numbers prior to this season and at that point, he was more likely to beat a top 10 team than an unranked one.

I can understand dropping a game here and there, everyone does that but it's been a pattern throughout his career.

For instance, he only had 3 losses at Washington, one in the natty and two to unranked teams.

Maybe it's just an anomaly due to the small sample size, I don't know.

Disclaimer - I like DeBoer and think he's a good coach and a winner everywhere he's been

But I think just about any above average coach you could plug in at Alabama would be successful and in the hunt for CFPs after the brand and dynasty that Saban built.

College and potential HS recruits have never been alive in a time when Alabama wasn't the *premier* program in the best conference in the country. UGA and Kirby are knocking on the door, but they still don't have that stigma attached to the Bama name

To do what Saban and Bear did requires getting to the top and then maintaining it.

That's very hard to do.

Let's just hope he gets to the top.

KD got Alabama rolling. Best team in the SEC so far. It’s really surprising to us all after the loss to FSU game.

Slow down. Can the dude win an SEC championship or make the playoffs before we name the stadium after him?

I don't disagree with this statement but is was more true before NIL and the portal. There's no more stockpiling talent and building teams for 3 and 4 years down the road. In the current system, your team building is organic and constantly evolving. Ido think DeBoer is more built for that than Saban. Can he do it successfully with the pressure here in Tuscaloosa? We'll see.

Saban is the GOAT. DeBoer just got here. Let's see how he does.

He got smoked by a coach who wanted out of Ann Arbor so bad, he called NFL front offices before the national championship game

Gotta love it when a person who doesn’t know ball brings up a bowl game no one wanted to play in as an example of how good or bad a team is/was. Lol
