Tell me again, why would Florida be a downgrade from Ole Miss for Kiffin?

We all know why Florida is 2-4 and Ole Miss is undefeated…. It’s because of coaching.

"Talent will get you about 7 or 8 wins. Discipline will start pushing that to 9 ... when you get leadership that's when magic starts happening. It's when you start getting rings and some really cool things are happening to your team." - Urban Meyer

Legacy.

There’s nothing at UF he can’t accomplish at Ole Miss and if he leaves Ole Miss high and dry for what’s currently an undeniable at best lateral move without winning bigly his legacy will be trash and he will be forgotten.

The Ole Miss Cum Dumpster is in for a rude awakening when they revert to their six win average after Kiffen leaves.

The good news is their stadium is only half full even during the their greatest run in program history, so not too many people will be affected

Take off the red and black goggles.

Kiffin has a ceiling at Ole Miss that he doesn't have at UF.

Now how hard is it to get to that ceiling at the current iteration of UF? I'm not sure. But their baseball and basketball programs are in a good spot.

Does he? How exactly? I’m just not sure there’s very much degree of difference to what you might call tier 2 jobs anymore since money is slowly but surely balancing like 30 teams into that tier with maybe UGA Alabama Ohio State and a few others currently holding their positions in tier 1 but will all likely fall down to join the rest eventually

You're just hoping he doesn't leave for UF and he doesn't continue to beat Kirby.

I get what you are saying, but it comes in a little clearer if you look at the last 10 years. Which program is more relevant in that time frame would give a clearer picture of which is getting the support it needs from fans and administration.

I dont care what Lane Kiffin does. He is going to be in the SEC either way so its up to him if he thinks its worth trying to completely rebuild all over again. Yes at UF we would have to play him every year but I dont know how successful or fast he will be at building up UF if at all. Theres a ton of variables with it. He could be way worse at UF or a bit better eventually than what he has Ole Miss at now. Its meh

Heading into Athens, OM is ranked #5 and a betting favorite to make the playoffs. Not a bad ceiling. But, a win on Saturday would even shatter that.

Ole Miss maybe but because of Kiffin. Don't think for a second that Kiffin wouldn't get Florida to that level and higher while Ole Miss would regress back to the mean.

One thing about Lane is that he has an uncanny ability to rehabilitate himself. He could crash and burn, take a OC job at a D2 school, make head coach 2 years later, go to G5 2 years later, then be back coaching a P4 team shortly thereafter.

The melt from Florida fans when Kiffin stays at Ole Miss will be worse than Auburn fans when they had to settle for Freeze.

Florida fans prove again that they are stuck in the 2005 recruiting rankings mentality

I almost feel bad for yall. I’ll trust a coach eval over what some intern at Rivals ranks a high school player when it comes to talent.

Florida fans are really setting themselves up for a major disappointment. He never talks about job speculations during the season, and this is as direct as he has ever been during a season:

The only thing that matters to me is, in the year of our Lord 2025, The Ole Miss Football Rebels were awarded the Gator Bowl over Florida. That completed the totality of the Florida failure. It's all gravy now.

Everyone keeps saying Kiffin is making Ole Miss, while Florida would make Kiffin.

If Florida is so transformative and such a beacon of success, why can’t they sustain anything in the NIL era? Why are they so incompetent? Surely they can just transform any coach into a winner with all the history and recruiting connections! I’ve been told they have money!
