I mean come on folks. TAMU not only hasn't ever won an SEC title, they've never even won the 7 team SEC West over the course of 13 attempts.

It's like these 'analysts' on ESPN have absolutely no attention to detail. They have played all 3 SEC games at home, those opponents are a combined 1-7 in the SEC. That's as absolutely easy as it gets. We all know what's going to happen when A&M goes on the road and plays a ranked SEC team. I guess A&M always starts their early SEC at home and lower half SEC opponents because this happens every year.

Let it play out. They were really accurate in their preseason #1 team and Heisman winner prediction.

Your thread title doesn't match your intent.

I clicked on hoping ESPN has just sabotaged Aggie's season. And instead, I get this.

Not that the computers thought it was a remote possibility that PSU would lose to both UCLA and Northwestern, but the computers never agreed with PSU being the #1 team. PSU at #1 was a human thing that things like FPI and SP+ never agreed with in the first place.

For the aggies, yes.

There's a reason their fans act like September is the most important moth of the year

They fall off beginning this week. They’re going to lose @ Arkansas, LSU and Texas

They have as good of a shot as anyone.

Hard to pick against Bama though.

Show me any Aggie who thinks this. I do know Longhorn fans who were celebrating that #1 ranking before a game was even played this season, so maybe August is the most important "moth" (nice spelling btw) of the year for them?

By the way, congratulations to the Longhorns for going preseason #1 to unranked faster than any team ever. Y'all should hang a banner for that one!

Have you seen their schedule?

It’s entirely possible if not probable they’ll be in Atlanta.

Slightly better than preseason projected SEC champ, so I'll take it!

Gotta redesign the roller coaster.

No early setback this year.

Only the steep upward ascend.
