Looks like LSU overpaid.

I wouldn't call him a bust, but he didn't live up to the hype...and I'm sure overpaid.

He flashed his FR year...not sure what happened

Howell’s 7 sacks are the most in the SEC and second most in the FBS. He has racked up hat tricks against Utah State and Mississippi State

Howell has 8 sacks, and State would have a great chance to beat LSU, if they played this year.

Howell also has forced several holds, and like a billion uncalled holds, and turnovers, and throwaways, and forced bad passes. He has been a fricking force in the pass rush.

You're comparing a defensive end to a guy who plays a hybrid safety/linebacker role. I would expect a guy who rushes the passer every pass play to have more sacks than a guy who is in pass coverage more than half the time. Perkins has played well in his recovery from a torn ACL.

Dumb thread.

He tore his ACL last season. "Bust" sure doesn't mean what it once did. It's more like a catch-all these days.

Meh, depends on scheme and how he’s being utilized also.

I think it’s 8?

Howell does sometimes drop into coverage.

Also, you’d expect the safety/linebacker hybrid to rack up tackles, but Perkins only has 14 solo stops on the year, compared to 13 for the DLmen Howell.

They play different defensive positions you gay retard. Perkins has more sacks than all of y’all’s DB’s. See how stupid that is.

Maybe, just maybe, they are avoiding his side of the field with scheme as well.

Damion Sanford has more sacks than Perkins. He sure as hell didn't come with the Perkins price tag!

After the 23 season, he wanted to go to Mizzou, as he's from KCMO. Apparently he wasn't a scheme fit, or a tweener in what we run, or whatever the reason, Mizzou passed. I like our DEs now, but oh my this kid is good.

True.

And Aggy knows about that overpay thing.

No skins in the wall since 39.

Enjoy that output.

Perkins has 27 tackles, Howell has 14.

Your melt about Perkins leaving Texas for LSU is going on four years now, get over it.

I'd be willing to bet Perkins ends up with a better NFL career over Howell

The annual aggie collapse can't happen soon enough, lol.

I'll have to avoid reading the SEC rant for a long time if LSU drops the game in Baton Rouge.
