I’m always looking for positives and are long standing for coaches. I also don’t call for people to be fired.
But it’s time to move on from Freeze. He doesn’t have the emotional fortitude to be leaders of young men that he doesn’t have the “old school” power over. You can’t let bad calls affect the entirely of the remaining time in the game. I also hate the offense. I like an RPO base fine. But ours is not good. The entire staff on the offensive side is bad.
Durkin is a fine coach but I’m not rallying for him to be the next coach. I do think we need a defensive head coach as the next guy. Who that is I have no idea.
I will watch and cheer on the Tigers every game but enough is enough. I don’t think it happens until after Vandy possibly but I’m sure the money folks are starting to scramble some

But I'm done. This game may have broken me. If this is the SEC officiating we will expect and this is how we will take it (with no outright call outs) then frick our AD
We sold our next home opener

The bad calls didn’t rattle Freeze he just sucks. The refs kept us in the AM game and we had like 50 yards in the second half

The writing was on the wall as soon as he kept talking about recruiting as the answer to what it was going to take to start winning games again. He legit thought that all he had to do was line up 4 and 5-stars on the field and he would be Kirby Smart at Georgia.

I really do think Hugh is a bit too emotional.
He was calling an excellent game until the fumble and then the wheels fell off.

The problem is that deep down, we all knew the offense was going to fall apart at some point even before the call. Our offense is soft, just like Hugh Freeze

I said in the game thread late in the 3rd qtr that the 2nd half tonight was gonna break this team. Mizzou will finish us off next week and then we will be 2012-level bad. Its coming and the 2nd half of this season is going to be just brutal.
There is no culture around the Auburn program anymore. The Auburn i grew up on never had the players to "out-talent" most teams. But you knew they were going to play hard, disciplined and have a good plan. Outside of a couple guys on defense, no one on this team looks like they care. I listened to Freeze take a few questions post-game on YouTube and he has no clue.
You HAVE TO rip off the band-aid sooner than later. As I said, its not going to get better. The program is rudderless right now.

Agree with this. Lost many winnable games with Thorne because there was a goddamn P option when it should have just been an R.
Lotsa coaches could have gotten 7 wins with PT. Lotsa coaches could get 8-9 with JA and this defense. Just inexcusable.

My tinfoil conspiracy theorist hat, Freeze is working with the officials to get himself fired to get a payout while he retires and gets his cancer taken care of while establishing a better trust for his children.

Agreed. AU football is costing me a lot of time, money, and energy. Ready to get all of those back.
