That will likely not end well for them if they do. The last three seasons he has gone 11-2, 10-3, 13-3 (won division and made playoffs).
If they fire him after this season they are dumb as hell.

This is a Texas situation. It’s not just Franklin, it’s Penn State. They get credit today for what they did decades ago. It doesn’t matter who they bring in, the team will underperform relative to national coverage.

- He signed an extension on his contract that makes his buyout after this season $50 million.
- He hasn’t won the big games but he has kept his program in the national conversation pretty much every year
- People forget where this program was before he arrived. It’s a miracle that he was able to quickly make the program about winning football all games and not the pedophilia crimes of the previous staff
I could see why PSU alumni and fans want to see him go but I doubt he is going anywhere for an least another few years
