Pretty surprised it didn't get scheduled as a night game. I'll take it.

A bit better with it not being under the lights (will also get to watch it on TV now).

I would love to be wrong but I don't see us winning this game. Expecting to lose a 27-21 type game.

Yeah I think we have a better chance at beating Oklahoma. We have to at least split. If we by some miracle win them both then shite’s going to get real, fast

It would seem a better defensive line was critical to last year’s success.. and taking the field goals when they presented. Those two seemed to be key ingredients. It is encouraging we held LSU to such a minimal rushing attack with a 3-man front. Our team will be hit in the face with a better caliber SEC team but I think it’s winnable. An effective Trinidad and offensive line win us the game from my perspective. It would feel damn good to be 7-0 with wins against LSU and UGA on the road but I’m not banking on it. Wazzu should be a 4-score game. I rarely say it but we should be looking ahead. Also, when is the last time OM won in Athens? Late 90s?

I have fully accepted that we are somehow going to be headed to Starkville with a shot at the SEC title game on the line, and I’m prepared to have all my dreams crushed.

Both Florida and Ms St are not gonna be what we hoped they would be. Everyone says we have an easy schedule. I disagree. UGA at Athens. Oklahoma on the road. A competitive South Carolina. Florida who just beat Texas. Miss St went to OT with UT. By all means a full SEC slate. One game at a time. A win over UGA would certainly make the outlook very favorable.

Oh absolutely. They’ll never stop ringing the cowbells. It’s their last gasp of vengeance on us as their program continue to slide off the chasm of relevance .

That’s gonna be a wild atmosphere .

Florida largely is - good defense but anemic offense. As long as we don't turn the ball over and give their offense short field - we beat them 24-14 type game.

State is much improved - thankfully they don't have the SEC athletes yet but Lebby definitely has them on the right path.

I'm trying not to invoke a loss over this weekend's game. I can't even process playing at Georgia yet. I will agree it helps that it's an afternoon game. But I don't believe it's really going to matter.

I do fully expect their fan base leading up to this game to be absolutely insufferable.

We need to slow down their ground game. Put 7 in the box?

On offense we will face maybe the best run defense we’ve seen this year. Might see a higher mix of pass plays in the game plan.

Meh. Tennessee brought 15,000 fans to Starville.

If State is 5-6 coming into that game they won't show up. Either the fans or the players.

No way, Jose.

If they're 5-6, they'll be there en masse and ringing their little dingaling bells without any respect for any rules.

I figure they win one of Gatah, Tejas, or Piggie.

They'll be like 1-23 in the conference over a 3 year stretch.

ETA 2-22....I forgot they beat Piggie 7-3 two years ago.

I won't be surprised whatsoever when they give us all we want and more in the Egg Bowl.

We still have a lot left to do, but if we can split between UGA and OU, then things look really good.
