Who is responsible for the success?
Pavia? Beck? Krill? Lea?
I think the New Mexico gang is more responsible but they're tied to one QB who is out of eligibility.

No one. Lea strikes me as a lifer at his alma mater similar to Kirby.

The staff from New Mexico State is responsible for Vandy, not Clark Lea

really depends on what Jerry Kill decides to do

If Vanderbilt did keep playing well or actually improves , and the coach stayed there , it would be one of the amazing college football stories in my lifetime. In this pay for play era, though, it’s possible. At least, I assume Vanderbilt has s good share if wealthy donors that might decide they actually like football.
I still think that regulation of pay for play will eventually happen.

Clark Lea was headed to the trash heap like all the previous Vandy head coaches before the New Mexico State offensive staff fell in his lap.

Head coaches get blamed for shitty staffs, so why wouldn’t he get credit for a good staff ?

It would be smart to wait and see how Lea does with someone else at quarterback.

I guess he did hire them. Will be interesting to see if he can maintain anything without them. Kill and Beck are not spring chickens.

Which is why I say if they keep playing well or improves. It isn’t only the qb that looks pretty good imo.

He is the main force though. Not many QBs operate an RPO offense that well. They also lose their TE, RB, and best WR most likely.

Clark lea is a vandy guy so I dont know he's going anywhere regardless. His coordinators will probably get lucrative offers, they might go. Vandy has deep arse pockets. If they decide they want to be good at football they likely can

Yep, Penn State would see if they can go 0-2 on Vandy coaches.

James Franklin should head elsewhere, because he's not the guy to win big enough at Penn State
Why not PSU switch HC with Vandy?

I'm not sure Vandy would want him back.
As for Lea, I'd wait until next year before considering him for a bigger job--see how he does w/o Pavia.
