Is it possible that the Bama vs Vandy game receives the largest viewership this weekend?

There aren’t a lot of great games this weekend.

I would guess Miami-FSU, being in prime time. Vandy isn't a big national draw, obviously.

It’s David vs Goliath? Not many games like that any more

I’m sick of Pavia running his mouth and everyone telling him how good he is for doing it

David? Don't sell Bama short. They have a legit chance to win.

Received? Not possible.

It’s certainly possible. Florida-Texas airing at the exact same time probably hurts its chances.
I think it will be very close to the Miami-FSU viewership, but overall it will be a very light week… probably looking at between 4-5 million.

Nearly every game in which Bama has been tied or trailing in the second half has ended the season a top 10 game going back since Bama went back to back in 2011-2012.
Bama fans tune in to watch Bama win.
The rest of the nation will tune in if they think Bama might lose.
Its pretty much that simple.

I would absolutely LOVE to see Vandy continue to win this weekend! Not that I necessarily want to see Bama humbled by them once again, but because it would be freaking awesome to see the Vandy Pimp again on SEC shorts gaining momentum as the season went along. Hell, at this point, I wouldn't mind too much of Vandy beat my Tigers. I could be fully on board with Vandy playing in Atlanta the first Saturday in December.
I'm not certain what would be the best part of seeing Vandy play in the SEC-CG though. The fact that they actually made it, or watching the complete meltdown that would undoubtedly occur in Knoxville.

Yes. It will depend on the score of this game and the Texas vs Florida game at the same time. I would guess that 2 close games will split the viewership a little bit.
Florida State vs Miami is on at the same time as Ohio State vs Minnesota. Most of the B1G folks will be watching the Ohio State game, unless it gets out of hand.
Minnesota is 3-1 and beat a decent Rutgers team last week, but they lost to California.
California is 4-1 but lost 34-0 against San Diego State.
San Diego State is 3-1 but lost 36-13 to Washington State.
Washington State is 3-2 but lost 59-10 to North Texas.
Strange season.
As to your original question, yes, if the score is close.

Transitive property seldom lines up like your scores reflect.

I was more talking about the absolute beatdowns that some of those teams took for their L's..

This.
This game will not be interesting to anyone not a Bama fan unless we lose. Then everyone will wish they'd watched it.
