as anyone, but the losses don't bother me like some other folks. Been around UGA football for a long time, first game Columbus 1957, a loss. Over the hundreds of games I seen or heard Munson call or on TV win or lose I looked forward to every single one of those games. There has been many winning streaks and losing streaks, and in every one Dawgs broke those streaks and created a winning streak. Tech, Aub, UT, FL, all those old streaks are history and now Georgis has winning streaks or records against all those teams. As for as UA, you don't have to like it, but they have been winning going back a hundred years. They can be beat and probably will be beat before season is over. Dawgs are still in hunt and I am looking forward to this weekend, GO Dawgs.

Saw my first game in 1964 as a freshman. Georgia beat Clemson. I love to see Georgia play and win but I don't curse the coaches, players, and other fans when we lose a game.

I'm not as old as you but I've sure seen a lot of losses and some bad seasons. I think what's so disheartening currently is that we have seen greatness from this exact coach, not that long ago. It's one thing if we're talking abotu the 90s or even the richt era where we look at other teams around the country and are envious becasue they're better. Not so here- I'm envious of our own team just a couple years ago. Kirby set a standard and is now way, way off from the one he set. Our team just looks different. Our talent is lacking. Our execution is lacking. Our assistants as an overall top to bottom group are as bad as they've been in years.

I'm not disappointed simply by losing to bama, although yes it's frustrating. I'm disappointed because I don't think this collection of players and coaches has what it takes to be the best and win it all. They COULD...it's not like our talent is on par with like idaho state or something. But this team is a hell of a long way off not even from our elite 21/22 teams that will go down in history, but hell even 2023.That 2023 team would likely whip up this year's team fairly easily.

I largely agree, just wanted this one and it looked as though we had all the advantages. Just annoyed by how it happened. Told my wife we lost when we didn't kick the field goal and sure enough. There is bad information about going for it out there right now as it's bad football to not take points in a close game with lots of time left.

What if he didn’t kick because he felt we could make the first AND he didn’t trust the defense?

With 10 minutes left that doesn't even enter in the equation. So many things were done wrong and we let a goal line stand by Bama beat us again.

No one is saying that either team would t have scored again, 10 minutes is an eternity for both teams offenses.... But it would have changed the way Bama had to approach as they no longer would have had the lead . Also if we did score a td, Bama still had time to score a td.

It was a worse decision than the fields fake punt.

I am 100% with you PC. I been going to UGa games since 1975 and have been living in Athens right up from Butts-Mehre since 1997. I understand the passion and disappointment from a loss like this. I don’t want to call out individuals but the degree of teeth gnashing and second guessing is ridiculous. Even in this golden age of UGa football there are going to be hiccups. It was a glorious weekend in Athens. We lost a tough one. We have one of the best coaches to ever coach. If a grown man will let it ruin his life because a kid dropped a pass or missed a block or he doesn’t think a coach like Kirby Smart is running his program right than that is just a shame. I’m going to go on enjoying living at ground zero of UGa football during its golden age, watching the coeds walking past my house all day, and trusting Kirby.

I felt the same way.

Going up by 4 points still requires a good defensive effort.

This loss is on the coaching staff...

Watched my first game in Jan. of 1968, a loss to Arkansas. I would be 12 later that year in April. Been a fan ever since.

I really started watching in 1982. 1984 was one of the first years they started putting some of the mid-range games like Kentucky and Vandy on I seem to recall Jefferson Pilot - so most games were televised. As I've gotten older I'm just trying to enjoy each individual game. Winning those 2 Natty's really helped me calm down. There are a lot of new fans out there - not a bad thing but wonder how they would handle a really down season.

Handling a down season where it just is not to be is more obvious than losing to a team we should have beat in a year where we should still make the playoffs.

People don't seem to be accounting for that fact that Simpson was elite. Literally one or 2 questionable throws the entire game. That's going to be tough to beat if it's Kentucky. When it's Bama you lose that game 8 out of 10 times.

Bet he isn't versus Vandy. We made him look elite

Yep, and it's high time we started reeling in elite recruits on offense.

Nah, we made him elite, bet he isn't this weekend.

I don't think he can be zone.

Kirby said, that they had decided that if they got positive yards on 3rd down that they would go for it on 4th, if they didn’t they would kick the field goal. Well we all know what happened

We're in the Golden Age of UGA football. This stretch is better than it has EVER been, and yes, I was around for 1980-83.

Yet, some still want to whine and moan. They must miss Ray Goff.
