For 1.8 ml we could have a bunch of nice players. Just saying.

I wish we had 5 Bernards

I’d rather not. But…
He lost snaps tonight because of his drop and his blocking. You could tell Sheppard was not pleased.
He’s going to need to step up or he’s going to lose even more snaps to Horton and Brooks.

He had a clutch catch for a first down conversion where he took a serious shot in the second half. If that Ryan Williams mentality comes out to meet the big play Ryan Williams, he'll go down as one of our best WR ever.

Maybe the best player on the team.

We have an embarrassment of riches at WR. Is it 2019 good? No. But I think Williams is still a major contributor to the position group.

Why we already have a Lotzier Brooks.

I know this might sound crazy, but knowing what I know now, I'm glad he dropped the pass on the first drive. I think that slow, methodical drive absolutely set the tone for most of the first half. Second half was different, but the point still stands.

his blocking
I know they showed the plays he took off but he did have some decent blocking after those plays.

Talented, but unfocused. Too concerned about his brand and outside influences. Not mature enough at this point. Can still be a force, but really has lived off last year's Georgia game for way too long.

I hear what you’re saying but RW getting loose vertically early would’ve psychologically impacted the UGA defense.
They remember what he did last year and I believe it would’ve changed the safeties eyes and the way GS would’ve called plays the rest of the night.
Him dropping that pass I believe took away a double coverage situation on RW which impacts the entire rest of the offense.

More importantly. How many T-Rexes did he buy with that $1.8MM?

I assume the T Rex was probably given to him for having drop issues in the preseason

He had a horrible start to the game but picked it up as it progressed. He needs to develop more toughness. Size isn’t an excuse, Devonta Smith for example.

He’s not thinking about his brand when the ball is in the air. He’s just got the yips. Hopefully he gets over them

I actually see him blocking really well downfield a lot. He'll be fine, just got the yips. Hung in there last night and made some big plays where he got popped.

The play the broadcast showed of him "taking the play off" wasn't really that bad. He missed his block on the screen, sure, but he didn't hold the defender and did a decent job of at least being in the way without it becoming a penalty.
You'd want him to get into his block but he didn't turn a missed assignment into a penalty and he got into the second level looking for someone to block at least.
It was more of a "here's the blocking version of his dropped touchdown" than "look at this sucker loafing on the football field" situation.

Totally agree. He definitely tried to make the block

All I know is if RW figures out how to improve his reliability as a receiver then this receiving group would be the best we've had since that GOAT 2018-2019 unit. We've got a nice balance of reliable hands, size, and speed. We just need our speed guys to get stickier hands.
