Agree. How we allowed castellanos and malzhan to run the ball for four quarters straight is beyond my comprehension. Should have sold out to stop the run and forced that bum arse QB to beat us through the air. Wommack is way out of his depth.

UVA had Castellanos 10 yards behind the LOS every play by the end. You just have to wonder what our thought process even was for the game plan.
I do give everyone a minor pass just due to the nature of Malzahn's pact with Satan, but there were plenty of games last year where the plan was just completely wrong in every way

I said it the entire game against FSU. Castellanos Threw 2 passes against us the entire freaking game because they ran the ball at will.

Just holding out hope that someone, anyone, got through to him these past few weeks to change what he has been doing. If not these OCs are going to have there way with Sunbelt Kane

He won't be fired tomorrow but I have a feeling by season's end, Byrne is going to insist CKD make some changes to the staff. Personally, I hope Wommack, Freddie Roach and Chris Kapilovic all get canned. All of them have either underwhelmed/underperformed or are incompetent (Wommack).
I would say CKD would be fired but I don't think so because of the $$$. We're stuck with him for at least one more year, maybe more.

We’re stuck with him at least another 3 years. Maybe someone from the NFL might come calling but that’s starting to look less likely.

I will never for life of me understand how Pruitt is considered so radioactive by the SEC. They act like he sold crack to pre schoolers or murdered a bus load of nuns yet Hugh Freeze who was literally cheating his gonads off, everyone knew he was cheating and he double dog dared anyone to turn him in to the NCAA (literally every NCAA compliance staff in the NCAA turned them in) can be a HC in the SEC.

Oklahoma last year was a wow moment for me. To be honest Vandy didn't bother me that much, they caught us and it happened.OU on the other hand with 4-5 WRs out and they just did what they wanted to against his defense was inexcusable. After that I knew he didn't have it, and sure enough FSU validated it.

Wommack was a terrible hire. My question is why run a 1 gap scheme up front when a 2 gap scheme is clearly superior?

If you watch Brooks Austin’s film break down of the defense, it seems Wommack’s 1 gap scheme can be taken advantage of in the run game because the defensive linemen are constantly at different levels when rushing, creating big gaps at the LOS. The run defense issue is further compounded by our guys’ eyes being in the wrong place.

Wommacks contract isn’t tied to DeBoers. If they want to can Wommack and force a new hire they can do so and multiple AD’s have done so at large programs
