In the 2016 game vs OSU with a 38-20 lead OU faced a 4th and 1 from the state 11-yard line. Samaje Perine ran 9 yards and could have gone into the endzone untouched but took a knee at the 2-yard line so OU could run out the clock on the next play.

Yeah, that OU destruction of A&M is the worst beating I've ever seen a team take. I watched peak-era Saban teams beat Vandy less badly than that.

I think TBob Hebert told the story a couple of years ago - the play before this LSU was around midfield. Mettenberger audibled out of a handoff up the middle to a bootleg keeper and gained 40 something yards down the 1. Les Miles called for the kneeldown on the next play as punishment to Mett for calling the audible
