I didn’t see that one coming. Probably time, but you would think an alum would get a more graceful exit.

Not sure what can be salvaged of the season.

He was on borrowed time there anyways. Probably went to get a jump on a new permanent

I think everyone else did. He had his moment of competitiveness but he hasn't been good for a long time.

As opposed to 10 & 20 years ago when teams would fire coaches exactly the same way?

He's a really good coach, it was time though, things had become stale. Oklahoma State is a really tough job

So it begins. We haven’t even made it out of the month of September and the coaching carousel starts.

He can retire his ski mask now; Gundy's been robbing them for years.

He was pretty badass 15-20 years ago calling offense. I haven't paid attention to OSU since 2012.

He's been coasting the last few years. He was a pretty decent coach in his prime, but I feel the game had passed him by the last few years.

Yeah things had become stale. A change for both parties may be a good thing. Ok St needs some fresh blood and Gundy needs a new challenge.

Clemson and Dabo are in the same position. Don’t know if Clemson pulls the trigger this season or not but they should. Dabo should leave at the end of the year if Clemson doesn’t fire him.

they probably offered him a graceful exit and he publicly said he wasn't leaving so .. he forced the school into a situation where he lived long enough to become the villain

Mike Gundy has been MIA. Idk what his deal has been.

But remember not too long ago, he was threatening OSU to take other coaching positions unless they anted up.

He played hardball with them, so they played hardball when he went gimp.

I wasn’t clear.

I expected his departure soon. Just not mid-season.

He can finally dust off his OAN t-shirts for casual day.
