Vandy with Pavia continues to fly under the radar with another “upset” victory last night. They definitely looked better against VT than the Cocks did and yall had another rough game last night. Won’t be shocked if Vandy adds another top 10 win to their resume if yall remain that high in this weeks poll.

See, this is kinda what I'm thinking. SC has looked beyond vanilla in everything it has done on offense so far. But, when a drive, score, or salting away is needed, it's there, and with a swiftness.

I wouldn't be surprised for Vandy to win.

But it also wouldn't surprise me to see SC dominate, either. No one knows what we have on offense in Columbia.

Vandy always struggles with Carolina, and we always seem to lay an egg right when things seem to be looking good for us. The main thing that’s different with our team over the last couple of years is that everything doesn’t have to go perfect for us to win.

So, interesting thing about the SC Vandy series that I’ll post while I still can. SC is 30-4 vs Vandy all time - including a 16 game win streak dating back to 2009. Now I know it’s “just Vandy” but over that time Vandy has beaten all of its other annual opponents (I.e, the former East + OM) as well as many other conference and non conference opponents. And it hasn’t mattered if Vandy was actually pretty solid as they were under Franklin or when we were really really bad (we were 2-8 in 2020. Those wins were a stomping of Vandy and an 8pt win vs Aubbie ) Even last season whe Vandy beat Bama and gave Texas all that they could handle, our 21 point win was easily Vandy’s biggest defeat of the year

I’d never use that excuse because SC State had the same delay too.

It’s both weird and great to be able to talk about Vandy being a really competitive team who can upset anyone on any given Saturday.
