Nah. Birmingham is an hour away and it has a college football team. Same for Memphis.

Gainesville #1. Congrats Gators on another title.

Imagine ignoring actual violent crime rates for something based on feelings.

Violent Crime Rate (s)
Baton Rouge 10.11
Gainesville 7.52
Tuscaloosa 5.84

Not really fair, when you consider how much of the violent crime is from the basketball team.

List is shite and biased. Baton Rouge is far worse than Tuscaloosa and Gainesville and not even on the list.

Gainesville isn't good but it's still not as bad as BR.

Violent Crime Rate (s)
Baton Rouge 10.11
Gainesville 7.52
Tuscaloosa 5.84

The SEC city with the highest violent crime rate is actually Nashville. That's really disappointing.

Leaving the stadium last fall after our game, I was shocked at the demographics around the strip and pretty much everywhere surroudning the general vicinity of the stadium. The last game I'd gone to in Ttown prior to that was 2020 which I suppose is an outlier, and it was 2011 before that. Things have definitely changed.
