With each passing year, I have less and less respect for Auburn.

I used to actually worry about their program. I never liked Auburn, but I used to respect them. Then they started pulling a string of goofy shite. They hired a guy from out west and fired him 9 months later. Then they hired a dude who got fired from his last SEC gig for hiring prostitutes for his players. Now they feel so incredibly left out that they just made up a bunch of national championships to claim. Damn, I’ve never seen a program fall this hard and this fast. I can’t even take them seriously anymore. I certainly don’t respect them. With the way Ga Tech’s coach is developing their program, I actually respect Tech more than Auburn.

This national championship stunt reminds me of a petulant child that didn’t get their way. With Texas and Oklahoma joining, they’ve realized they’ll never compete for another conference title and they’re now a bottom tier team, so now they want to ruin it for everyone else

Additionally, some say Auburn's 2004 title was the determinative inspiration for what Texas accomplished in 2005.

Auburn screwed themselves by not claiming some of these from the start. They should have always claimed 1983 and they should probably have always claimed 2004. 1993 makes sense now when Michigan has shown rules don’t matter in the pursuit of a natty. 1958 and the ones before WW1 are so dumb and an embarrassment
