Finally a learned opinion....MIZ

"With the 2025 college football season just around the corner, the usual SEC powerhouses-Alabama and Georgia are soaking up most of the spotlight. But don’t sleep on Missouri. According to Greg McElroy, the Tigers may be positioned to sneak up on the conference and shake things up in a big way.

McElroy sees Eli Drinkwitz’s Tigers as a dark horse contender, and he makes a compelling case. Missouri has quietly stacked together impressive back-to-back seasons-going 11-2 in 2023 and following it up with a low-key 10-3 campaign last year.

Now, as the Tigers prepare to open their 2025 schedule, Drinkwitz is openly calling this his most talented roster yet. That’s not a statement he’d float without confidence, and looking at what they’ve done, he might not be wrong."

Have you seen the schedule Missouri plays this year? If they don’t push for a playoff spot, Drink should be run out of town.

If Mizzou even finished SEC top 5 then that would be a pisser.

I'm worried about the OL and QB, won't matter what the schedule is if those 2 suck.

with all respect to young McElroy …. it has yet to be seen the Drinkwitz has reloaded on offense. Cook, Luther and Theo gone to the league … those aren’t small holes to fill. Not to mention, they still miss Schrader’s leadership and heart …. still waiting to see that happen.

Is Pribula the answer at QB? …. that’s another big question mark that remains unknown.

No, young McElroy, … I think it’ll be a hard pass on that prediction…

If Beau Pribula can move the team with his arm and his legs Mizzou is going to be dangerous.

As much of a gamer as Brady Cook was, he was also a liability as a thrower. He single handedly capped Luther's production.

Missouri may be even worse than Florida this year.

I don't know that McElroy is exactly known for high-level sports hot takes that stem from deep analysis and study, but hey - it's the preseason, right? Everyone is undefeated right now.

Oh, and obligatory:

Who is giving the spotlight to Bama? I feel like I don’t read much of anything about Bama anymore.

McElroy is still obviously concussed from the hit he took in the 2010 Iron Bowl.

Okay so I think I've got the flavor here..."if" we make it to a playoff spot, it is a sham, because of our weak schedule. Got it.

When we won the SEC East the first time the flavor was "we made it because the Division was weak".

When we won the SEC East the second time the flavor was "every other team had injuries".

I love how you good ole boys come up with excuses whenever Mizzou wins. It could never be talent, coaching, or perseverance huh?
