I was always under the impression the greatest coach of all time had a better record at LSU. He lost 16 games in 5 seasons and was 3-2 in bowl games. For essentially every two games he won he lost one, in the SEC. What gives? They’ve won the SEC twice in 17 years. How was saban able to always get the best recruits, win a shite ton of titles at Bama but yet outside of one season with Matty Mauk be mediocre at LSU? Why aren’t you better at football?

Saban's problems in Baton Rouge had mostly to do with the unreasonable expectations of their delusional fan-base.

Also, the city of Baton Rouge is a total shitwad of nastiness and no normal human beings want to spend any meaningful time there.

Try to imagine a mud-puddle filled with sewage that is filled with retarded, mutant, crap eating frogs and that is what Baton Rouge is like.

If Baton Rouge was a place where human beings felt comfortable living, Saban would have done much better there.

The new Chargers hadn’t come out sooo….yea. I’d guess they came out right around he lost to ULM at home at Bama. Maybe bit before to get popular as a recruiting gift.

The fact he won a natty in 4 years for what he inherited was a miracle and it also set lsu up for success long term no matter who the coach has been

lol…it’s fun to be sensational— but you are either poor, uneducated, or extremely sedentary.

You don’t live in a better neighborhood than I do, and I personally know many people from Alabama who moved here to work and make a life.

I can’t wait to kick your arse this year.

You didn't graduate high school, you live in a motel in South Side Bottom, have no friends, and know exactly zero persons who have moved from Alabama to Baton Rouge to make a life.

Everything you have written in your response was a complete fabrication and you are a disappointment to your family, who long ago disowned you.

Saban took over a program that had been in the ditch for two years. Wise up Gump.

LSU got Nick Saban former MSU Head Coach

Alabama for Nick Saban former LSU HC and National champion.

He won 2 SEc Championships in a natty and He also had the program absolutely fricking loaded and we were like 34-6 the next 3 years.

oh also 6th Generation Dodge Chargers were released in 2006. The foundation of the Alabama
dynasty.

It took the greatest program of all time to realize his true potential, it’s that simple. He took LSU as far as he could, 1 title. But at the Capstone, we took him to the moon.

He left for the Dolphins, not Bama. He would have won more titles at LSU as well.

That's bullshite. Dinardo had that roster stocked, he just was was an idiot to hire Lou Tepper on defense.
96 and 97, LSU tied for the West, and went 10-2 and 9-3.

98 was the disaster that killed him, with Tepper and the Drop Linebacker. LSU went 4-7 that year, with FIVE of those losses being 1 score.
27-28 to UGA, 36-39 to Kentucky, 31-37 in OT to Ole Miss, 16-22 to Bama, 36-39 to Notre Dame. Those five games we scored enough to win (arguable with Bama), but Tepper's defense was fricking awful.
Keeping Tepper sealed his fate, and the team gave up and went 3-8 the next year.

In his first 5 years.
At Bama he won 2 in his first 5 with the second being the 2011 Mulligan game.

Say Oklahoma State doesn’t choke their game away and Lester the molester is the guy that gets to 2 championships at their current school first….

He didn’t inherit those guys, you moron. He recruited them.

Also, LSU was 3-8 in 1999 before he arrived in 2000. We went 8-4 in his 1st year, we went 10-3 and won the SEC in year 2, and we won the school’s first national championship in 45 years by year 4 of his tenure.

It was an unbelievable turnaround that only a coach like him could have accomplished. He also set LSU up for success for the next 20 years.

Context is important. He took a school that was mediocre )or just downright bad) at football for decades and transformed them into a powerhouse for the next 20 years.

Agree. The culture at LSU was rotten and Saban was sick of them and their bullshite when he left.
