I would think LSU considers Alabama their rival, and I know there were years when LSU-Alabama was for the SEC but as far as Alabama is concerned, aren't Auburn and Tennessee more historic rivals to Alabama than LSU?

Everyone knows of the Iron Bowl and Tennessee-Alabama's always the third Saturday in October.

Even Georgia-Alabama in recent years has been for the SEC if not the national title so does anyone consider LSU their rival?

Used to, I didn’t mind LSU having success at anything but after joining this site, I have come to despise everything LSU

Ole Miss is LSU's traditional rival. I've been to plenty of Ole Miss games with my wife who is a fan and Ole Miss fans yell Go to Hell LSU no matter who they're playing.

Same here. Didn't care about them at all before joining this site. Even when they beat us, it didn't feel like losing to a rival like AU or Tennessee. It still doesn't, but witnessing the absolute melt that happens on the Rant when they get blown out by 'Bama definitely adds something extra to the game now.

No which is why they’re eaten up by everything Bama. That and Saban being their HC first

Not from my perspective. I think they're sad about it, too.

Ole Miss is probably our true rival. Bama game is fun but not much of a rivalry since it started in 2000s. Prolly Ole Miss or maybe Florida

I have lived in Louisiana all my life so I enjoy beating LSU more than any other program if only for 365 days of peace.

After spending time on the rant, I've come to realize they act like every team is their rival.

Random time (and a strange forum in which) to post this, but not really. Ole Miss is closer to a rival for them within the SEC, but in terms of modern football: no; resoundingly no.

ETA: that doesn't mean it's not absolutely hilarious, as a long term poster on this site, when LSU loses

As mentioned it use to be Ole Miss. My dad is an Ole Miss fan and he was in attendance when Billy Cannon ran the kick back (in slow motion apparently) to win the game on Halloween night. Broke his kid heart, but they went on to get their revenge.

Some of the games against Florida in recent years have been really entertaining.
