And before anybody comes at me for slotting Tennessee in the standard, remember Vitello and the Vols reshaped baseball. They put it on the map when it was struggling.

Yes Tennessee has a National Title, but they are not the Standard. Texas is along with LSU. Those 2 only

Confused if you are talking all time or presently. I thought presently but then you put USC in great. Weird list

And if it’s all time it’s a horrible list lol

TN is not near the top All time.

These teams are the top programs and there isn’t even a debate.
LSU
TX
MS State
Arkansas
USC

One team in the championship series has as many national titles in baseball as Tennessee so i guess you hang your hat on that.

Top 2, in this order, are clearly

LSU
Texas

I know some say Texas due to more Omaha wins but I have to give the nod to LSU for recent dominance and 1 (maybe 2) more titles. They are the standard imo.
We are a close 2nd but better get our shite together if we want to stay there.

Great thing about the SEC is that there are 6-7 programs every year good enough to win it all if they get hot at the right time. Love it.

You are one delusional idiot for posting this list.

Tennessee is no where near the baseball program that any of The Greats on your list (especially Texas) much less thinking you are remotely close to LSU’s level.

One program (LSU) is playing for their 8th National Title, while Tennessee has only played, and won 1.

LSU has been to the CWS 20 times in 40 years. Let’s say that again 20 times in 40 years. Meanwhile Tennessee has only been to Omaha 6 times over the last 40 years. LSU has won national championships under 3 different coaches showing that their program is not dependent on one great coach. The program is self sustaining. Tennessee has only seen success with one coach.

Texas dwarfs Tennessee in accomplishments and program sustainability. You are nothing, but a speck on their trophy wall.

At least list Alabama in garbage. Hard to argue otherwise the last 25 years.

But top 20 in all time wins. Only 5 CWS appearances. Did play for a title twice.

Third all time in SEC regular season titles and tournament titles.

Lets assume youre not trolling. I want you to give good reasons why Tennessee is in a tier above

SC/UF/Vandy/Texas.

Honestly, also give reasons why Miss State is above Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Arkansas. I get the one title, but the others are pretty regularly in Super regionals and Omaha.

Every time I think of Bama baseball I think of the 83 CWS. The first one I ever attended after begging my dad to take me. My memory sucks but I seem to recall you guys had a masher that was crushing the ball that season and he made me nervous every time he stepped up to the plate. I could have the years wrong he may have been in a later series. I've been to 8 total and some of my memory is fuzzy.
But I have a vivid memory of that guy. Obviously can't recall the name. I just recall he was batting something crazy like .500 in the CWS when we played you.

edit: Had to look him up. Dave Magadan that's the guy and it was '83. Baseball America player of the year batted .550 in the CWS.

I’d argue Miss St and Ole Miss is more prestigious than Tenn.

Same amount of titles. Miss St was doing it longer than Tenn.
