Being first in football is better than being first in everything else.

Bama hasn’t been first in anything in years.

Well no one has ever been first in everything else, but if someone were, it would be way better than a football national championship.

Football is the most popular sport. But complete Atheltic Departments focus on success in all sports. Never good to be one dimensional.

It boggles my mind that this statement is always downvoted when the only school in this conference would even think of trading any national title in a sport over football is UK. Majority of fanbases put football over everything else. It's not even arguable. This board is far more active in the fall than at any other time. Stupid to say different. It's okay to say you disagree and love some other sport as much or more, but you're in a very small minority. That's fact.

Probably downvoted because literally no one disagrees, but the thread is about overall A.D. performance, so it’s non sequitur thread shitting.

Texas has now won the cup four of the last five years. Not too shabby.

I guess technically you are right...2 years is a long time for Bama to have gone without winning SEC

I agree with you but the Directors Cup isn't scored by nattys only, it includes how well you did in each sport which I do think is important as a fan of sports and the our alma maters.

Texas owes the aggies men’s track team a huge thank you. If they don’t split the men’s track championship on the final race, USC would’ve won the title outright and earned five more points in the Director’s Cup standings

Really close race this year:
