Good coach with some of the worst qb play I've ever seen.

Good recruiter and motivator. Good old school coach. Didn't adapt to change which became his downfall.

Good football coach who couldn't adapt with the game. Loved the way his teams played football.

You are what your record says you are. In 12 years, Miles never lost a regular-season OOC game. That's ridiculous. Someone should list the All-Americans he gathered, not just on defense, but skilled personnel on offense. His wide receiver list alone defies the results he got on the field. Yeah, he could get them to BR, and he got them to the NFL.

Somewhere between good and average, leaning closer to the good side. Dude was stuck in his ways and was ultimately his demise. As far as entertainment factor goes, one of the best in the SEC.

Good coach. Unfortunately you’re always compared to the guy that had the job before you.

It was hard watching Fournette dive up middle vs SEC defenses.

I took a three year ban from here due to some frustrations with him.

I loved the coach but didn’t like him.

Certainly some peaks and valleys.

Interesting question.

There have likely been "better" coaches without a national title, and he won one and competed for a couple more

However, he could be frustrating to watch even as an outsider. I can only imagine what it was like as an LSU fan being down 10 points with 5 minutes left in the game and he is running a toss on 3rd and 3.

Good coach who made the mistake of going to kansas. We could have told him it was a bad idea.

Excellent recruiter except for O-Lineman and QB’s, which I could never understand since he was an ex-O-lineman.

Had tough as nails teams. Very physical. Could just straight up beat most teams physically.

Some of the worst QB play I’ve ever seen once Jimbo’s QB’s graduated.

Stubborn as a mule. Could never learn from prior mistakes. Who lines up and runs the toss dive over and over again against a Bama front of 9 players????

Worst clock management I’ve ever seen by a coach at that level.

Good coach better recruiter. However if we are just measuring his coaching without recruiting I would drop him down to poor coach. Poor clock manager, loss to teams he shouldn't just about every year
