I wouldn’t say miserable because of perspective but I believe it’s accurate to say we haven’t done much in quite some time and have definitely choked games that would have made the experience much better. Not to mention half the fan base has hated the last two coaching hires before the ink was dry. We really need a good year. I just have low confidence in a coach that doesn’t publicly show confidence.

Our last “good” year we went 9-4. Lost to fricking Minnesota in a bowl game. That was 6 years ago. We suck arse and I’m sick of it. The amount of money we generate and spend on this program is absurd compared to the returns.

That was the game when I decided not to devote daylight hours to Auburn football.
I left at halftime and went to the golf course.
I’ve not planned a day around Auburn football since.
I hope that we improve enough for me to actually plan a day around watching a game this fall.

Hey, I’m just jaded at this point. If we suddenly catch fire, great. If we continue to suck, cool. I’ve learned not to care about football too much over the last 7-8 years of being in the wilderness.

I love football but cant tell you who will be a clear attainable upgrade. It will be another guy with numerous question marks. Or Durkin. Can we even get a Matt Campbell?
Since we are essentially coaching minor league NFL maybe we need to look into the pros.
