Don’t like that Friday night game to open. That sucks for all of us who have boys playing on Fridays.

No different than those of us that have kids that play sports on Saturdays.

This window should not exist until November.

not our call, since its @ Baylor

don’t think we’ve played a non-Saturday game at J-H since this:

Mike Tirico with one of the GOAT calls in ESPN history

“It could change in one snap, though”

Well, I know my son’s team has been much more fun to watch the last couple years so maybe it’s a good thing sport.

We definitely have. There was that stretch for like 4 years where the Iron Bowl was on Black Friday. Which was so dumb.

ETA: It was only 2 years. '09 and '10. CBS caught so much shite from both fanbases they moved it back to Saturdays.

Not going to lie, I kind of liked it. Then again, those were my last two years as a student and I had no obligations, so getting to the games was easy. It was nice having the game and then being able to enjoy rivalry saturday and actually watch all those games.

Just got a new 85" 4k TV and can't wait for football season to begin. It only cost a little over $800! Hard to believe.

Time to watch some successful old games of recent vintage.

Yeah. We stood back at a BJ's where there were 4 large screens playing the same thing and I couldn't see the difference between the Qled and the Chrystal 4k even though I worked in TV production for decades. All were 4k.

Re-watching Game of Thrones and damn it looks great.

Just requires more liquid anesthesia to get through should that be the case.

I think the only time you're going to start seeing differences at this point is dependent on the lighting situation where the TV will be. Some work better than others in darker settings, some can deal with natural light better. If you're in a basement or something with pretty standard lighting, you probably aren't going to be able to tell a difference between the two if set up properly, so go with the one you like/price point is agreeable.

I bought the 75” when I got my new house last year. Now I wish I had the 85. LOL.

He’ll, I was at Costco last week and they had a 100”. Haha.

Man, Rudy Johnson was so much fun.

If you want to feel old Rudy is now 45.

He was. The 2000 DSOR (at least in my memory) he was a wrecking ball, especially in OT.

The number of people who had already come down from the upper deck and started squeezing into the student section was insane. Then Rudi took it to the goal line and Leard scored on a sneak...maybe as crazy as I saw JHS until 2010 and 2013.
