Don’t bring your kids. Summer of Jimbo may have his camera out.

There's a good local cajun place just a mile from the Met.

If you’re willing to travel closer to downtown Birmingham, then I recommend Jack Brown’s or Saw’s Juke Joint. Brock’s Gap across from the Met normally has food trucks.

Straight down Stadium Trace Pkwy (it becomes Preserve when you cross over 459) from the Met is Vecchia Pizzeria. It's really good and we always eat there when we go to the Baseball Tourney. It it's too crowded or you're in the mood for something other than Italian there's a Taco and Tequila Bar next door. Never eaten there but they serve cold beer and top shelf tequilas if you're into that sort of thing. 10-12 minute drive from the stadium depending on traffic.

Why would you ruin perfectly good lobster like that?
